Ellie nods. End of the season was when the reserves came out whether they were ready or not. "So, it might not be the most honest match up." Other than Montrose, Kenmare and Puddlemere were probably the biggest threats in the post-season.

"At least we've seen plenty of Campbell this season to know what to expect." She grinned. "Although there is something to be said of chaos."

"The Magpies definitely have the most solid set of reserves of those we might face," he replies, handing over a comparison sheet of the current top 8 teams and their backups that he's drawn and annotated. "There's three of them who'd walk into first teams in half the league. I only don't include their Seeker in that because of how young she is."

His eyes flicker upwards, watching the man in question. "He was at school with our Maddie, right? That and half their side."

Ellie took the page, glancing it over. Even she could admit there was a time and place for Ravenclaw logic. Bart at that going for him. Certainly more organized than she was. "Most of Montrose are in the final seasons of their career. Makes them solid. Familiar. But..." Well, she didn't really want to finish that thought because it lead her back to MacDonald. But still, it was hard to ignore that those not playing today had taken big injuries earlier this month.

	"The experience makes them a threat, but at the same time, means that the weaknesses they do have are out there for us to observe. And, if we get it right, exploit." Ellie nods along. "So, let's see what we can find and figure out how to tailor the training plan for next week to respond." Over the course of the match, she shares comments with him of various plays.

At some point later when the snitch is still not in sight she says, "You should go visit your fiancee for a few. Take a break. Although bonus points for next level spying." Although truly if anyone is in the best position to spy it would be Ellie.

	Alasdair snorts at her offer. Mere months ago, she would probably have been concerned about Ada spying on him if such a visit had occurred, so this was a sign of distinct progress. "Want anything while I'm gone?" he asked, helpful as ever. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
