GENERAL SCHEDULE

6a-9a »» Captain’s Sessions
A mix of running, strength training, and agility drills with Lorna and Alasdair at the helm. Other staff members are at the pitch to oversee and be available as resources if needed because Ellie won’t be there.

9a-12p »» Break!
Nothing official planned. Nap if you need it. (Please nap!) Time for one-on-ones if needed.

12p-2p »» Strategy Sessions
Lunch strategy meetings. Menu by Maggie. Reviewing old matches. Focusing on styles of other teams, with a bit more focus on Montrose. One day might even be media training/PR stuff, just to cover all bases here.

2pm onward »» Coach’s sessions
Lots of scrimmages in weird variations. They will be playing down, she might challenge players to play as if they have an injury, not using an arm, or any other weird thing you might think of. Most days players will be out by 5pm.

Exceptions:
Saturday, 3 February, training 7am-1pm
Sunday, 4 February a day of rest. (you're welcome)
Thursday, 8 February team will be dismissed just after 9am.
Friday, 9 February is the day at the Dragon Reserve.

Seeker Situation, Part II (Tuesday)

Not being out with the rest of his teammates was killing Pip a little. He wanted to be part of the greater collective and to be sitting on the sidelines was hard. But he distracted himself by hanging out with Maggie when a break was required or with Ellie and Bart. He might not be out there with the rest of his teammates, but he would find ways to participate regardless.

"I want to be out there more," Pip admitted. "But I don't want to push it." Getting ahead of himself wouldn't do anyone any good.

"Wise," Bart said. "We want you built back up and that means a good foundation of healing and not overstraining yourself first." He looked to Ellie for the next bit.

"Concussions can be a right jobby." That probably wasn't the most professional thing to say, and while she was trying. Sometimes the truth just willed out. "They take time, and coming back is slow going. We are going to do right by you, get you up to fighting form like Bart said."

"To this, we are planning to start Maddie against the Harpies." Ellie didn't think Pip would handle that news poorly. Not with the Scrimmy issue on the table. Although ...

"The other thing I want you to be ready for is a very busy back end of the season. In addition to post season we'll have three Golden Neep matches and need to make use of our full line up. Pride is lucky enough to have two experienced seekers with different strengths. I want to start using that to our advantage and giving Maddie some more playing time. This is by no means a doubt in your abilities or your place on the team."

"I wouldn't have lured you from Canada to let you sit on the bench. I think you bring value to Pride and to the League."
