Who: Pride of Portree Players & Staff
What: Hell Week -- to challenge and test the endurance of the team because did you see the Falcon v. United match? 20 hours! Also with the Golden Neep and Post Season, they are going to be busy. (Use this as planning or threading fun!)

GENERAL SCHEDULE

6a-9a »» Captain’s Sessions
A mix of running, strength training, and agility drills with Lorna and Alasdair at the helm. Other staff members are at the pitch to oversee and be available as resources if needed because Ellie won’t be there.

9a-12p »» Break!
Nothing official planned. Nap if you need it. (Please nap!) Time for one-on-ones if needed.

12p-2p »» Strategy Sessions
Lunch strategy meetings. Menu by Maggie. Reviewing old matches. Focusing on styles of other teams, with a bit more focus on Montrose. One day might even be media training/PR stuff, just to cover all bases here.

2pm onward »» Coach’s sessions
Lots of scrimmages in weird variations. They will be playing down, she might challenge players to play as if they have an injury, not using an arm, or any other weird thing you might think of. Most days players will be out by 5pm.

Exceptions:
Saturday, 3 February, training 7am-1pm
Sunday, 4 February a day of rest. (you're welcome)
Thursday, 8 February team will be dismissed just after 9am.
Friday, 9 February is the day at the Dragon Reserve.

Oh Keke. (See what I did there?) The correct answer was to crash at the clubhouse. No, it wasn't a proper bed, but it would allow for maximum amount of sleep. They probably even set up a bunk room for it. (Sorry Maggie?) Ellie certainly made use of this so that she could drag her arse out of bed and witness the morning session. It is admittedly the only morning session she is out on the pitch for and she looks run over. (But she is doing her absolute best to keep it together because she expects no less from her team.)

Knowing everyone was going to be exhausted, Ellie had planned for a recovery morning. Gentle running, a few laps on the broom, nothing crazy or intense, lots of stretching. Proper breakfast. (If someone wanted to lead yoga, tai chi, or anything else, go for it.)

Team is dismissed at 9am. Everyone to be at the Reserve by 10am tomorrow. Go rest. You've earned it.

Unless you came late. Then we might have words.

For all that last night was pretty hellish, she's in good spirits having actually gotten a decent night sleep. She looks at everyone else barely functioning and is not regretting her decision in the slightest.

"Nice of you to finally join us, Keke." Her voice is a horse mess, but yes that might actually be a smile on her face. Ellie wants to be mad, disappointed even, but fuck, in the same situation as a player she might have done the exact same thing.

"Give me an easy three and we'll see about calling it even." Three miles was far nicer than wind sprints, but as she had told Maggie, Ellie didn't actually want to injure her players.

Lorna thought this was a brilliant idea (maximizing sleep part) and bunked at the clubhouse. And she appreciates Ellie being there too so it's not just Lorna and Alasdair making everyone come back in after four hours.

Good recovery morning is good though. Lorna sees it as a good bonding opportunity too. And getting done at 9, Lorna went home for naps and play time with her wee ones. No chores getting done this week!

In the similar vein to the others, Alasdair too chooses to bunk at the clubhouse, having sent Ada a message first to let her know he was OK. He's up early to make sure his body is ready and warmed up to begin again, and if Ellie or Lorna needed him, he could be found doing his stretches in the locker room.
