I treated myself to the Catapults match on my final day of single-job freedom and now I may never forgive Fofana, but I suppose that's something we'll just all have to learn to live with.

[...] And does anyone have a spare litter box for a small cat? Do litter boxes even have si I can't believe I'm allowing an animal to shite in my wa I only need to borrow it for a week or so.

PORTREE PLAYERS [NO OTHER STAFF]
You're about to enter a [...] trying week. Aye, I'm aware that each of you is a professional, but that doesn't shield you from overexertion.
  1. When you get home at night, sleep instead of party. Doze when you can.
  2. Drink as much water as you c plenty of water. You have no excuse not to.
  3. Don't drink alcohol (it's one week. You'll survive.)
  4. Eat well — your body will need the fuel. I've given a list o asked the cooks to ensure there will be more smaller, nutritious meals and snacks for when you don't have the time for a complete meal, and MacFusty and I have arranged that there's always a hearty lunch waiting for you.
[#5 is added after Lorna's reply:]
  5. Please don't die.
Beginning tomorrow I'll be picking up some evening shifts at St. Mungo's, but I'll still be at the clubhouse during office hours if you need anything, as well as attending the late practices. If you think you're ill or overextending yourself, or if you have any questions, please come speak with me. I'd prefer to help you avoid injury than experience it first-hand. This goes for the regular season as well.

PORTREE MANAGEMENT
Parkinson's been a model player as far as his healing but I'm not keen on the idea of him playing the Harpies on the 20th after his concussion. MacFusty and Roberts have the report; my recommendation is to bench him. If all goes well he'll be back in the air in time to train for the match against my the Catapults.

ALEC URQUART
I met the Bulgarian, no thanks to you.

Oh, and... 🎶 I know something you don't know... 🎶

AUGUSTUS PYE
The Thing came back the very next day.
The Thing came back, I hoped it was a goner,
But The Thing came back; it just wouldn't stay awaaa-aaaay.

"But Maggie," I hear you insist, "Just take it back to the shelter!"

I did.

JUSTIN FINCH-FLETCHLEY
The tribe has spoken. [...] Well, the gran has.

I've been told that kneazles can be [...] aggressive, and I've acquired no data to discount this.

My theory is it depends on what they're mixed with.

Yes, but speaking as a self-confessed cat bloke, different breeds have different temperaments to begin with. Some are protective, which combined with a kneazle's intelligence can come out as aggression. Ours are part Persian, and Persians are divas, which makes them pretty manipulative when they've got the intelligence to back that up.

Neither, in most cases.

They're generally bundles of thick fur, if anything.

In my experience? Probably frightened and can pick up on the tension and dislike. It does funny things to any animal.

Then it's probably lost, confused and possibly sick or injured in addition to being frightened. Plus, you're a human and a hell of a lot bigger than him/her.

Do you need a hand with the cat?

My biceps are quite intimidating.

Thank you, but no, I have a cat expert. [...] And I've taken it to a muggle shelter and a magical shelter, so apparently, much like the aforementioned muscles, this kneazle-demon can't be contained.

They have a way of attaching themselves to potential caregivers. That's how we ended up with two of ours.

I already give care to an entire quidditch team.

It's hardly the same thing. Once they feel happy and safe, cats are definitely easier than pretty much any Quidditch player I know.

While an interesting fact, it's irrelevant because this cat is not living with me.

Yet, you're planning to take care of some of its needs, so it pretty much is relevant, even if only temporarily so.
