Summary: Rhys chats up his classmate Madeline Melina?
Rhys arrived at Crevasse an entire hour earlier than he was supposed to be there, having mistaken the time of his shift. Rather than go back to his apartment, Rhys decided to hang out at the coffeehouse, trying some of the non-caffeinated beverages Crevasse had to offer. There wasn't too many to choose from, but Rhys was happy to settle for a hot chocolate instead of a drink that would make him jittery and unfocused. He tried to stay away from caffeine as much as he could, as he hated the way it made him feel, like he was being forced awake yet couldn't function right.
At least he didn't mind selling the stuff, as his job proved to be not too bad at all, even though he'd only been working there for a week. Jesse was a great trainer and so far, Rhys hadn't screwed up too badly with broken machines everywhere. The hardest part about the job was remembering who ordered what, but the making of the drinks was easy enough with just a few pushes of a button. He also wasn't left on his own, which he appreciated since he wasn't ready for that at all. Maybe in another week...or two. Maybe even three weeks, just to be sure.
Grabbing his hot chocolate off the counter, Rhys headed deeper into the coffeehouse, looking for a table to sit at. There were several empty tables and chairs, but Rhys was in a more social mood than to sit by himself in a corner. Instead, he headed towards a woman he recognized from one of his classes whose name was Maggie or Madeline or something like that. Rhys didn't normally keep track of every female he had in his class, but with her long red hair, Miss M. was easy to spot and recognize.
"Hey," he greeted with a smile, coming over to her table. "Do you mind if I sit?"
