Who: Weasleys, Potters and a Granger
When: Friday night (foredated to tomorrow)
Where: The Burrow
What: Dinner!

It was a standing invitation. Every Friday Mr. and Mrs. Weasley would host a family dinner at The Burrow. Hermione and Harry, though not technically Weasleys, were always invited. Of course Harry was, being an in-law, but Hermione thought herself incredibly lucky and honored to be included in the Weasley Family gatherings. Especially because she and Ron weren't... well...

Hermione showed up to The Burrow after work on Friday, a little earlier than usual, so that she could offer Mrs. Weasley some help getting ready for dinner. When she arrived, however, Mrs. Weasley ushered her into the living room and forced her to sit down. Apparently, dinner was nearly finished, anyway, and Mrs. Weasley didn't want Hermione working.

Hermione settled into her chair with a glass of pumpkin juice and turned to stare out the window. It felt good to be in The Burrow again.

	George chimed in before Harry could open his mouth. "Mum's asking Ginny if Harry's a boxers or briefs type." Harry felt his face go hot. 	Ron clapped Harry on the back in sympathy. "Well, you're one of the family, Harry, and Mum doesn't really have a lot of... tact when it comes to that sort of thing." He laughed. Ron laughed a bit at Harry's response too, mostly because 'nice' sounded like kind of a lame way to describe wedded bliss. But his wife was Ron's sister, so Ron figured there wasn't much else they could really discuss without feeling weird.

"Well, that's good, I guess," Ron said simply. "You're certainly spending a lot of time at home. I feel like this is the only time I see you anymore. Here, and work."

Ron sighed loudly. "Thank you, Harry," he said, giving his friend a look. "It's nothing, George," he said. "And even if it is something, I've already gotten the 'clean up your act if you want to be good enough for Hermione' speech from Prefect Percy." He shook his head. "It was just one date. We might have a second. I don't see why we have to pick on me about it."

He was being slightly over-sensitive, but it was a sensitive topic for him, and his own self-doubt about ruining things before they got started was coming through loud and clear.

	Hermione had gone outside after her talk with Percy, looking for the boys. She had a beer in hand, thankful for it, since the night was making her blush worse and worse as time went by. She heard George mention her name, and the word 'shag,' and she saw Harry and Ron standing there. Her face went scarlet as she headed in their direction. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Harry glanced back over his shoulder and made a little oddly high, shocked noise. George looked up quickly. "Oh, hi Hermione. We were just discussing you. Oh look, I hear something yummy in the kitchen." And George took off for the back door. "Coming Ginny!" Harry called. He took George's cue and ran inside, leaving Ron and Hermione alone. Ron gasped when he noticed Hermione and he blushed an even deeper shade of red, glaring at George. "Shut up right now," he warned his brother in a low voice. "Nothing else about shagging, do you hear me?"

Then, in his louder, regular voice, he said, "Hermione! Hey!" He put a smile on his face and went over to her, proving to Harry and himself that he could and would do this.

	Hermione watched Harry and George slink off, and went a little more pink. She gave Ron a bright smile. "Hello. Are you... I suppose you're finished talking now?"
