Who: Weasleys, Potters and a Granger
When: Friday night (foredated to tomorrow)
Where: The Burrow
What: Dinner!

It was a standing invitation. Every Friday Mr. and Mrs. Weasley would host a family dinner at The Burrow. Hermione and Harry, though not technically Weasleys, were always invited. Of course Harry was, being an in-law, but Hermione thought herself incredibly lucky and honored to be included in the Weasley Family gatherings. Especially because she and Ron weren't... well...

Hermione showed up to The Burrow after work on Friday, a little earlier than usual, so that she could offer Mrs. Weasley some help getting ready for dinner. When she arrived, however, Mrs. Weasley ushered her into the living room and forced her to sit down. Apparently, dinner was nearly finished, anyway, and Mrs. Weasley didn't want Hermione working.

Hermione settled into her chair with a glass of pumpkin juice and turned to stare out the window. It felt good to be in The Burrow again.

Dinner was pleasant, as usual. A little quieter, though. He kept his eyes on Hermione and Ron most of the time, trying to discern through their body language if the date went well or not. So far, he learned that he was bad at reading people.

Audrey and Fleur were in the kitchen cleaning dishes with mum. Percy took a seat at a sofa and unwrapped a little red breath mint, popping it into his mouth.

He gave Hermione a grin and offered her one. "Peppermint."

"Thank you." Hermione said, holding her hand out for the mint. She was smiling. Things were good in her life. The date with Ron had gone really well, though they hadn't seen much of each other since. And Mrs. Weasley kept her attention through most of dinner, so poor Hermione couldn't talk much with Ron.

"How are you, Percy?" She asked. She hadn't had much chance to talk to him, either, during the meal.

	Hermione blushed, thinking about the date she'd had with Ron. She also wondered how many times she'd have to tell the story of it. Probably just a couple more. She imagined Ginny might be curious, too. "Yes. It was. We raised a lot of money for the hospital." Avoiding the subject of her date with Ron? Priceless. She'd make him dig for details. 	Hermione gave a little nod, slowly unwrapping the mint. "Let me know if you need any help." She offered as she put the mint in her mouth. There it was. The smirk came back to Hermione's features. Hermione loved it. It was fun--first Harry, now Percy--all her friends wondering how things went with Ron. A part of her was curious to see if he was getting all these questions, too. She leaned in a little.

"It was brilliant." She couldn't hide it. Things were still a little awkward, but the 'I like you, you like me' part was over. And they were going to have a second date... eventually.

	George chimed in before Harry could open his mouth. "Mum's asking Ginny if Harry's a boxers or briefs type." Harry felt his face go hot.
