Someone did what? I was not aware of your brother's departure. [...] Or the mugshot situation. I was under the impression that those were for police business only.

I wasn't either until this fucking morning.

Perhaps you should put Warda on a tighter leash.

He just left? That's unfortunate. [...] But I suppose that guests are supposed to leave, at some point. That is the nature of the term.

Why would she [...] You believe that it was her?

He has no money. Idiot. Fucking idiot

Who else would it be? She doesn't care for me much, and if you wanted to rub the arrest in my face, you would make sure I knew it was you.

Oh. Can you contact him to ensure that he is well?

But I wouldn't I thought we had discussed I will speak with her about this matter. It seems unlikely that she would abuse her position in such a way, however, as she is quite stringent in adhering to policy and protocol.

No. I have no idea where he's gone. I tried his phone and he didn't answer.

[He deflates slightly.] Thank you. Because I'll be frank, if something like that happens again, I'll take it as a threat and take it to a judge.

Do you want to file a missing person's report, or does he regularly evade contact

Please don't Very well. I assure you that it won't happen again if Detective Warda was indeed involved.

I hope not. [...] I apologize if I snapped at you during our discourse.

[This reply comes a full 25 minutes later. Of that 25 minutes, 10 were spent typing and erasing and retyping and re-erasing replies while 15 were spent staring at the screen.]

I am glad that this is not a cause for concern over his safety, then.

It was not You should not I accept When have you last apologized for any Is this a joke Is this a tactic for some Your apology is accepted. Given the mitigating factors of your brother's departure and the unpleasantness you received, your reaction was understandable.

How many times did you have to type a reply before you found one that was dehumanized enough for you, poppet?

Dehumanized? As this is clearly a [...] delicate situation, I wanted to ensure that my reply to you could not be misconstrued in any way so that my meaning remained entirely intact despite the medium in which we are communicating.

Re: A. Morgenstern/D. Hockney

Because "toaster" is antagonistic. I was under the impression we were less antagonistic than we were... whatever we were. And now we're not even that. So "toaster" is far from appropriate in any case.

Detective Warda has ceased calling me that as well, giving me a new moniker when our alliance solidified. I see. It makes sense, and I suppose you are right. We are no longer [...] fiercely competitive. Though I have enjoyed perusing your book of riddles over the weekend.

Yes, he is an art enthusiast like yourself. He recently hired me to compile a report about himself and his new lover, investigating their physical behaviors towards one another as a way of assessing how their relationship is progressing.

And I am very much enjoying your gifts.

I'm going to break into his goddamn apartment and wring his neck. If he ruins this Interesting. I think I've seen him post here once or twice. I've met the man in vague, society ways. None of them interesting

[He isn't staring at the screen with incredulous delight. Oh no. Nor is he picturing her in the aforementioned nightgown. Nor is he picturing how lovely the aforementioned nightgown might look on his floor while he wears her. No, no, he would never do that.] You've worn it?

He is a generous individual. Though his taste in riddles is abhorrent, he himself is not.

Yes, I have. Obviously, if I can remark on how comfortable it is or isn't.
