Okay. Hypothetically, you're walking down the street - you're listening to your IPod, you're thinking about the tuna salad you had for lunch, you're not paying attention. The most beautiful girl you've ever seen walks in front of you and you bump into each other. Apologies are made and she's gone before you can even catch her name.

You know though that this girl, this woman is someone special. But she's already out of your sight.

What do you do? (Note: your answer will have the endless thanks of one Fabian Greene. Make it good)

On another unrelated note, where's the coolest place in town to get wasted?

Just because there’s an element of romance in a story doesn’t qualify it as a romantic novel. Jesus. I’m no Nicholas Sparks – for one thing I like happy endings

My one complaint is that it’s beginning to sound out like a more gory Twilight, with the genders reversed.

I would hope your writing is more competent then that of Ms. Meyers, but cannibals aren't supernatural last I checked. Messy, diseased and otherwise gross, but definitely human.

It’s the ‘I WANT TO EAT YOUUUUUUU’ but fight for true love that prevents it. Or maybe I should take a hint and make it unrequited. We’ll have to see.

Unrequited would be breaking away from the pack. Everyone has their protagonist falling for the evil/dark (and usually creepy) bad boy/girl and making them change "for the better" these days.

Seriously. Why do people think that some sort of epic romance will reform the so called bad boy into being a better person?

Misplaced hope that "true love" can "tame the savage beast" and make the illicit attraction of the bad boy acceptable? Who knows. I'm sure it's possible that it could occur, but a fleeting possibility at best.

The frequency of it happening in fiction these days has been enough to nearly make me swear off books altogether. Well, fiction ones at least.

Not to shamelessly plug or anything, but Morning Star avoided this theme. Entirely.

Is it still on the shelves? If so, perhaps I shall endeavor to find it this weekend. If not, I may have to stalk the local libraries.

Still in print, last I checked.

I'll be sure to check it out. I wonder what Jen will say to my bringing home another book...
