Thread: TEAM GL!
Who: Jennie-Lynn Hayden, Guy Gardner and OT Kyle Rayner, if he wants to show up
Where: The Twin's Apartment --> LA, CA
When: Thursday, May 20, 2010
What: Jen apprises Guy of the Black Hand situation while laid up in her apartment. Enter in Kyle Rayner, who Jen may or may not let in, just in case he's feeling pervy.
Todd was being stupid. And unnecessarily overprotective. Not to mention impractical. Jen was sure of it. She didn't need to be confined to the apartment, she only looked worse than she felt...
A groan escaped her lips as she shuffled back into the apartment apartment she shared with her twin, having left against, not only better judgment, but her twins strict orders to stay inside. That was just insulting! Sure, he was her brother, but Jen was perfectly capable of taking care of herself and had done so for quite sometime, thank you very much. Not that she had said all of that to Todd. Typically she would have argued the point, but she had the feeling Todd wasn't going to take no for an answer on this one. Especially considering she thought he was acting a bit funny, a little off, as of late and didn't want to upset him any.
So, she waited until he was gone at work to leave.
She had gone down to the corner store to grab Guy a six pack of the most toxic beer she could find. She wasn't a beer drinker herself, so she didn't know, but she liked to have something in stock to serve a guest, even if it was only Guy. Stepping out though only proved that even the simplest of tasks were aggravating to sore muscles and healing injuries. She made a bleh-face as she used her powers to haul the the six pack into the fridge and shut the door behind her, keys and sunglasses since abandoned on a table by the door. She was thankful it was sunny enough to warrant sunglasses, being in no mood to explain the raccoon eyes she had been sporting. Slumping her shoulders, she trudged through the rest of the apartment and flopped onto the couch where she had been laying for the better part of the morning with a heating pad.
Okay, so maybe Todd wasn't being that stupid after all. She'd concede to that, but you couldn't blame a girl for arguing with her brother. Jen did need to rest to regain her strength and in the meantime? She'd plan the next move against Black Hand.
