When he'd gotten the text from Jen, it hadn't taken much convincing--any, really--for Guy to be ready to rush out the door and get to LA. It wasn't that she was a chick and he was trying to get in her pants, though she was damn hot and if it happened he wouldn't exactly object.
She was Alan's daughter, and in Guy's mind, that made her basically Corps also. And he would guard any of his fellow Lanterns with his life. More than that, she was a friend too. So the need to help her out wasn't to be questioned even for a moment.
