Sleazy though he may be, maybe Jade just had a different opinion of Guy. She also realized that she probably was the only one. But he was a Green Lantern after all, he had to have been doing something right. She wasn't so naive as to think that Kyle wouldn't tell Guy the truth the minute the two of them were alone. She was just of the opinion some things weren't discussed in mixed company, especially one of those people were like family. Guy was kind of like her uncle, the creepy one. The one that let you drink beer when your dad said no, but also sometimes hit on you.
...Its not like the Scott-Hayden-Rices were exactly the paradigm of stability and the exemplary American family.
When Guy pulled her and Kyle close, each with one arm, Jade winced teasingly, pretending to resist his affection. "No you haven't," she remarked, rueful grin tugging her lips upward. "But I could stand to hear a little more," she shot back with a wink turning, not before long, to glance at Kyle who suggested they get down to it.
"We do need a plan. 'Cause this is kind of out of my league," she admitted freely. "And I want him out. He's crazy. And dangerous," she informed them. Jen lingered in the kitchen for a moment, gathering up plates and napkins before setting them down at the kitchen table where Guy had already seated himself. She just gave him a look and pointed at the supplies, silently expressing that he use them or else.
"Can I get you something to drink," she interjected, looking at Kyle, while they discussed the Black Hand situation more thoroughly.
