-What: Lizards are swarming Mirage
-When: From morning to whenever the lizards are driven off/defeated
-Where: Location 4! The library
-Rating: PG-13 for fighting
-Status: Incomplete

Of course, the lizards in the library were gleefully ripping out pages of books by the handful and tossing them in the air, letting out the lizard equivalent of a giggle as they watched the pages float down. Some had toppled over a few bookshelves and were using the now empty stacks to climb around on. Yet another fight had broken out here as well, resulting in books being hurled back and forth at each other, accompanied by angry shrieks that could be heard from the hallways. A few other lizards who were wandering said hallways came inside, wondering what all the commotion was all about.

(OOC: As the day goes on, more and more will appear. There will be about 200 total, so about four and a half for each person, including those who are staying inside, so those who are fighting will have more to take down.)

	Light looked around him again before noticing L's obviously panicked state. He would die like this..or whatever the planet did in place of dying. "Suck it up. Come on." Light tried to pick him up. L stared at Light as if the younger boy was mad. Couldn't he see what was going on around them?

Batting away Light's hands and freeing himself from that loathesome grasp, he yanked Light down behind the desk with him. "Do you really think I haven't thought about escaping?" he hissed. "With what's going on now, I'd never make it four steps towards the door! Trust me, I want to get back to..." he stopped, eyes narrowing. "Laura. What do you know about Laura and me?"

	L started to rise again, but crouched quickly back to his previous position to avoid a flying book. He was dead pale. "I can't," he said simply. "I am not going to run through that. 	Light grunted, immediately dropping the man to the floor with a huge lack of grace. He held the area he'd been elbowed softly. 	L landed like a dead spider, his limbs tucked in closely to his chest, rolling as he hit the floor to transfer the energy of the shock and avoid injury. "In my eyes, you are not helping, Light. 	Light restrained himself from getting angry at the man. He breathed in deeply, still cradling his chest. "Well, I'm not leaving you here alone." if Laura knew he had been here and had not helped, that would not work in his favor. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

L tilted his head, looking sincerely baffled.

"I believe that Kira would insist on staying," he said icily, after a moment. "That way, he would appear to be concerned for L's well-being, while he is really..." he was cut short in his discourse, however, when one of the lizards spotted him and sliced him across his lower ribs with its claws. Though the wounds weren't deep, the sudden pain and blood was startling, to say the least.

L lobbed a book at the lizards head. Fortunately, his aim was good, and the impact caused the bipedal reptile to reel back, screeching.

	L looked, in addition to just plain torn, torn between going and staying. Both options seemed equally dangerous. 	Light nodded, analyzing the pathways out briefly before scooping L up, actually surprised at how light he was, and rushing off towards an escape route. 	L thought for a second, ducking his head, feeling amazingly insubstantial with the apparent ease Light seemed to have in lifting and running with him. "Laura... I can contact her," he decided, nodding briskly, wincing as he was jostled in a way that hurt his ribs. "I carry my journal with me everywhere, and she keeps an eye on me..." L obeyed the moment Light found a spot just outside the library, leaning against the wall and hastily scrawling a message to Laura. He didn't mention that he was hurt, not wanting to scare his undead guardian, but mentioning purposely that he was with Light Yagami. Hopefully that would communicate some of the situation's urgency.

"Done... what now?" he asked, trying to take a deep breath and not liking the way it felt. It seemed that the claws had gone a bit deeper than he'd thought.

L thought, fleetingly, of the possibility that Light had arsenic or anthrax on his shirt simply for the sole purpose of killing him this way, but realized, quickly, how improbable and paranoid such a possibility was. He took the piece of Light's shirt, pressing it against his lower ribs, still watching the other young man carefully.

"It doesn't seem like you, to randomly rip up your clothes like that. Is it because the planet can give you new ones easily? Even if it is, it still seems wasteful."

	"It's not wasteful, as I'm using it to help you. It is convenient that I'll get replacement clothes, but I probably would have done so in this situation regardless."
