So, as people have seen that I'm actually posting again, that does mean that I'm going to be pulling myself off of hiatus. I've got stable internet back now, so everthing is good on that front. Since I've been gone so long, I'm probably going to avoid plotting anything really major with my kids until I've had a chance to jump back in the water, but if you want something specific, hit me up.

Oh, and I'm super glad to be back. I've missed this game terribly.

So, my internet, after a long period of completely sucking ass, has seemed to quit on me. We're getting a technician in on Tuesday at the latest. Uh. So I said I was back, but I really have a hard time ... doing anything for AOM when I have this problem. So please ping me for scenes, link me to scenes I'm still active in, but I really can't do much. :( :(

EDIT: My 'net comes back for short periods of time, so when it's around I am taking care of stuff and posting as I can!

Just a heads-up that I probably won't be online from Saturday (day after tomorrow) until Sunday next week. My brother-in-law's getting married so if I'm lucky, I'll be heading over to England for a week for that and I have no idea what the internet set-up is for the various places we'll be staying in.

If I'm unlucky, my son won't have shook off whatever virus he's picked up (yay, being covered in... y'know what, you're all better off not knowing) and I'll have to stay home with him. Either way, that's not a lot of online time.

Soooo, yeah. Hiatus-type time for me, I'm afraid.

Registration Tattoos

We wanted to make sure everyone was up-to-date and not left out of the loop regarding the registration tattooing situation.

We recognize that it sounds crazy that some mutants (like Logan, Husk, Mystique, etc.) would not be able to get rid of something tattooed on their skin, but there are plot reasons for this that... we just can't tell you yet:D But trust us, there's reasoning behind it. Basically,
these 'tattoos' will NOT come off. No matter what. Everyone's free to have their characters register and then freak out and wonder why the tats aren't going away (especially if they're a mutant with powers that would typically get rid of a tattoo). In fact, we'd LOVE that!
It'd help move the plot along.

The tattoo would basically just not heal away on someone with healing powers, not shapeshift away on any type of shapeshifter, and still remain after a husk on someone like Husk. Let us know if you have any other questions (preferably as a comment here so that everyone will get to see the same info) and we'll do our best to answer without giving away any plot secrets!

So this is Jan, and I decided to give everyone a few days heads up. I will be gone starting on WEDNESDAY, I shall be traveling in order to participate in the glorious event known as Dragon*Con in another state on the other side of the country and living with the lovely Corri.

Hey, folks! KD here. FINALLY. I am at last officially counting myself off hiatus and would like to get the ball rolling on AOM again. Things have been slow without me and Mel! I don't know if that's a lack of interest or just bad timing on everyone's part, with almost everyone going on hiatus at the same time, but in order to get this ball rolling, we need ... y'know, everyone's help to do so. :D

That said, we have some plot that we're working on and would like your input with:

• Tabitha Smith is still being held by the Friends of Humanity. The Brotherhood is working on getting her back, and X-Factor could potentially get involved.

• New government! Registration! The Brotherhood has been given the go-ahead to bomb registration centers and everything, which I believe will factor into a character death in the near future provided things pick up. Also, all mutants who are in this country with FOREIGN CITIZENSHIP who are here LEGALLY will be receiving a notice saying they are going to be deported.

• Mel and I have a super important plot log that we wrote MONTHS ago and need to post, but I think we're only going to post it if the game picks up again. Otherwise it really sounds like we're jumping the shark. XD

Things have been exceptionally slow for Terry, Myself, and now Rahne for a while. I know that the Brotherhood has a hunt for Tabitha going and I want to shoot out a reminder that X-Factor is neutral (Despite everyone currently having ties to Xaviers) and that we would absolutely love to get in on any plots or take on any characters that are interested in detective work. I've been talking with Terry's player and we'd both love to make X-Factor a stronger presence in the game and would love to work with anyone on any plots. I know some people have hooked us up before; so if anyone is interested in an X-Factor anything feel free to IM me at Jason071601 and plot.

We'll try to get a little more active on our end (we know we've been slipping) and maybe even think up a plot or two to involve ourselves. For Terry's player and I these are our oldest and most loved characters. We wouldn't trade this game for anything and I think we should make sure everyone knows that too. Thanks for enduring my outburst. :)

I know like everybody else in the game is away, but I wanted to put this up before I forgot.

Family vacation and birthday shenanigans = Nomie away from the game. We're leaving either Sunday night or Monday morning, I most likely won't have internet till the 22d and it will be sporadic (because shenanigans, including PIRATE RENFAIRE BIRTHDAY on the 24th!) until I get back home, probably the 25th or 26th. Plans are up in the air at the moment. I'll be checking in every so often but if you wanted to do a thread or a log with me, you have till tomorrow to get it done.

Hi everyone.

I'm going to take a two-week hiatus. Between work and everything else, I am physically and emotionally drained. I just need a little time to re-kickstart myself.

I plan to return by August 25th. It's possible I'll return sooner but I'll probably just tell myself to take the time off. I guess I will just play it by ear at that point.

I was sort of hoping I wouldn't have to do this, but I think I might have to add myself to the semi-hiatus list for the next week, and possibly until the 25th. I'm in California visiting a friend, and will then be going to Vermont to visit my boyfriend, and will at no time be able to have consistent chances to check up on things. I will have periodic internet, and will be around when I can, but I can't say when that will be or for how long.

So ... Mystique is getting settled back at the Lair and will probably be busy trying to research some things. Cait's playing nice, unless John actually ends up trying to attack something in which case she is so very in, or unless Dominic shows up again in which case he gets flying tackles and ain't goin' anywhere for a day or two, and David ... is not having the best dreams, and is probably trying to be nice to Arla. And playing a lot of basketball.
