Moon
The last day of Ramadan is judged on the sighting of the first sliver of the waxing crescent. Then, it is Eid al-Fitr.

Something about that always gave me strength to know the moon will grow big again in times of darkness and fasting.

~~It is interesting Seneca also took comfort in the moon like this~~
