[Video-Audio / Open | some room in the Shelter... | Morning]
[It took some time before this side of the video feed offered a clear connection. If not then anyone looking would've only seen random flickering and "hello?", "... is this thing working?" until the face of a young man came into view.]

... Whoa. This is amazing! Haha~ I know someone who'd be all over this thing if he can get his hands on it! And won't you look at this? A ball and chain! Now that's prison-like!

[No sarcasm there! Tap-tapping on the communicator.]

Hi, I'm Ken! I'm ah... new here! Thank you for the welcome basket! And --

[The sound of incoming robots are heard, and he looks at them.]

Oh hey! Hi there uh, you part of the entertainment-- OW! That HURTS DAMN IT!

[Sort of. Dodging. The taser. Or trying to in his restrained state, until he raises his hands in surrender.]

Alright, alright! I'll go with you already, jeez!

[And cue awkward looking at the video channel after his flaily outburst, face red. He waves a little~]

Aha. Sorry 'bout that guys, ah... do any of you have an idea where these robots are taking me?

[She might have missed some of it.] Depends on the day.

Oh. I guess Valentines is busy for you. Kids? Or adults?

Vampires, demons, sometimes witches but usually we stay away from that.

'Busy' would be a good word -- More of White Day than Valentine's, actually. Then there's Mother's Day.

I teach kids. Terrors, I tell you. [But he's all cheerful about that!]

[And then that makes him go 'buh'. And he thought the Eztet was crazy enough...]
Whoa. For real? Vampires and demons?

Is that like...labor day? [really she has no clue] Oh right. I always went for the candy in the cheesy mug with the bear for mother's day.

How old? [The cheerful makes her smile. She'd strangle kids. Probably. It's nice he likes it though]

Totally for real. With fangs and stakes through the heart and grrr.

Oh no! Labor Thanksgiving day's on November 23. In Japan. It's where I'm from. [Two last bits added as catch ups. This whole different worlds thing took to getting used to...] Cuz for Valentine's, girls give chocolate to guys, and the guys who got chocolates should give something in return on White Day which is March 14.

[Laughs a little at that.] I think that's pretty cute! Who doesn't like little bears! And kids... hmm... youngest at eight, eldest at twelve.

[Color him impressed! Even with that little "grrr" in the end something tells him she's FAR from fibbing.] Some dangerous line of work you have there, Miss Summers! Aren't vampires really strong too?

Oh. I think I like that holiday.

You've got lots of patience. I'm not so much with the patience. I'd lock little kids up.

I've got the insurance? Yeah. They're pretty buff. I'm stronger than I look though.

I like it too. [Wink.] Makes for great business.

[Laughs!] I get that~ I think myself a big kid, so it's not that hard for me.

I don't doubt that~ But hey! If you're called a 'Slayer,' it's gotta be for something right?

[You make Buffy smile, Ken.]

That's the hype anyway.

[Smiling is good! :D] I don't really think it's "hype" anymore if you can actually live up to it.

Taking off my folklore glasses here -- what makes witches especially dangerous where you're from?

In that case I am hype-less.

Most witches aren't. My best friend is a really powerful witch but like Darth Vader some people choose to use their power for evil instead of good. A powerful witch can be scary and dangerous.

[Hm.] That makes... a whole lot of sense.

And you have one as your best friend too! That's really awesome.

Good. It's easier when things make sense to people.

Thanks. I'm lucky to have Will.

It sure is!

[He gets a little prodded by the bot -- just gently though!] -- oh. Uh, listen I have to go, looks like these guys have something to do for me.

I'll see you around, right?

Yeah I'm going to have to go work too I guess. [They poked and prodded at her earlier.]
