Tch. [He had been looking around the firing range for some time now, and just confirmed his suspicions. Not that he expected there to be weapons there -- even locked up and guarded by sentinels or something -- but there wasn't even the smell of gunpowder hanging in the air that he was used to. With a bit of a smirk, said to the empty room.] Figures. Doesn't seem that anyone even uses this place that much.

[Lockon didn't know what to tell Sakura. He had only met Ashton once, and didn't really know him all that well. Lacus seemed to have the better handle on the situation, on the whole, so he was fine with just cleaning the kitchen while the girls sat in the dining room in Lacus' new home.

But he couldn't help but overhear, just a little...]

I'm sure they won't. And they'll wait a moment while I fetch the gun for you. [Conrad walks across the room to a short shelf, both cats right on his heels. He pulls out an object wrapped in a white handkerchief, slowly unwrapping it.]

[Settled inside is a silver revolver. Nothing fancy but for the design of a hawk on the grip, but Conrad gives it a moment's look regardless before turning with an easy smile and offering it.]

Here you are. [Another moment of silence as he goes to pass it off, as if he's not sure what to think about it. Then,]

I'll get the bullets.

Thanks. [Taking it carefully, he first checks the most important facets. It's been a while since he's handled a revolver.

Safety: on. Good.

Loaded: yes. Not good.

Swiftly, he unlocks the cylinder, sliding it out and dumping the rounds into his other hand. Then begins the real examination, as he mutters to himself.] Double-action, decent caliber... [Slamming the cylinder back in place, he brings it up casually.] Good balance, iron sights...

[A little louder, so Conrad could hear from the next room.] He had good taste, and the smith did a good job. Who did you say made it? [Lockon knew he hadn't, but if the smith was around, that would mean that he'd have a supply of ammo. Otherwise, things might get tricky.]

	I certainly hope not. [Smile] At the time, we had been planning for contingencies, and there was no defense force to get weapons for us. Hence all the extras. I hope it's suitable. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Huh. That makes sense. [Though Conrad might not really understand how quick, in a heated fight, someone can go through a hundred bullets... fortunately, Lockon is used to doing more with less.]

I'll admit, it's not something I'm used to... but I can always practice. [Cocky grin.

Though, upon considering the rather obvious stack of ammo.] You don't, ah, happen to have a bag or something I could use, do you?
