002: Freedom, maybe. [voice/open action]
[Voice]
For a crime as severe as that, the amount of time for which a person is restrained certainly is short. Not that I'm complaining, of course.

Now then, I'd like to ask - would anyone be able to recommend a good place for food that isn't made by robots?

[seemingly random question is random, but he'd like to gain the trust of the people here through idle conversation for now]

[Action]
[Light will be exploring the dome for the bulk of the day - since he's finally free from his restraints - to become more familiar with the overall surroundings, and to see if he might be able to find any clues as to how this entire dome operates. You might find him especially close to the outermost extremities of the dome, and possibly loitering a bit around the external boundaries of the Defense Force Headquarters]

[If he does spot you staring at him, or possibly taking a good look at him, he might just greet you with a pleasant smile and a Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening.]

[He'll be wondering about from morning up to the evening(9 AM - 6 PM), only taking a break for lunch at the Shelter kitchens. Feel free to approach him~]

It might, but you're the one who brought it up. I don't usually go around asking.

It was just a simple comment, but I suppose I could answer - For something as severe as mass murder, you'd think a person would have been restrained for a much longer time than two days, wouldn't you?

...

It's no ordinary prison. And you're...kind of open about that.

Why wouldn't I be open about it? It's but a false accusation, after all. [so he thinks]

How do you know it's false and not for future crimes?

Because I am more aware of my own tendencies than anyone else. If I ever had the tendency to lean towards murder, much less mass murder, I'd know, wouldn't I?

Still, my future is vague even to me, so that possibility is always open, I suppose. But nonetheless, I remain certain that they are false accusations - Acumen isn't the first to have accused me like this.

You get the whole mass murderer thing a lot? [Should that make him feel better?]

[maybe. he does sound tired of the whole idea, though.] By a single person back home constantly accusing me of it, yes. I do doubt he has the ability to see into the future at all.

You never know. [Sam has met too much weird to go around dismissing too much.] But okay. So you're innocent. [Not that he necessarily believes this.] We get that a lot here.

[he might just be getting a little irritated here, but he doesn't show it outwardly at all, his voice betraying none of the irritation he's feeling] Of course. From what I'm hearing, Acumen does place many people with terribly minor crimes in here as well, after all.

It's not a big fan of taking the circumstances into consideration either. [But you wouldn't find Sam trying to claim he doesn't belong there. He knows he does. He also knows he needs to get out so he can put it right.]

So, you came in with the last batch?

Ah. It even brings in soldiers who have possibly killed while in the line of duty, for example? [Not Light, though. He's pretty sure he hasn't killed anyone, since he has no remembrance of the Note whatsoever.]

Yes, that's right.

That's what I hear. I'm not exactly a soldier though. It just doesn't do a lot of taking circumstances into account.

I see. [that's all he's got to say here.]
