Day 423 - Video - Open
[It had taken some playing around with this weird device thing on his head before Remy got it working, staring at the feed in silence for a while before figuring out if he had gotten it working or not, and pushing past his concerns if this was a good idea or not. He was in an unknown place that was most certainly not New Orleans, in a (ugh) tacky orange prisoner suit, with none of his weapons, his powers not working, and had been told a mass of information that hadn’t really gotten through his confusion and shock to really register. Was he really wanting to draw attention to himself?

And this was all on top of the fact that the last thing he remembered was screwing up a mission to save his father from a group of people trained to kill and there was a good chance he himself had been left for dead on the Assassin’s back yard…

He was not having a good day.]

So, [Before he paused, as if reconsidering if he should cut the feed and just explore by himself first. But he was already in this, may as well jump in with both feet.] This place really needs to up its game with welcome parties. No drinks waitin’, none of those little stringed flower necklaces, especially here, at a beach, it all just sloppy. How a homme supposed to feel welcomed?

[A moment later of silent thinking before Remy finally addressed one of the many serious questions on his mind.] ‘nd I be guessin’ that, whatever ‘nd wherever I be, that that little voice through this headset thing be right, we all prisoners here. That… kinda puts a dampener on the day.

[The voice gets her attention even before she looks at the screen. She'd know that cajun accent anywhere. A smile finds its way to her lips as she listens to him complain about the accommodations. She knows it's not her Remy, less because of what he said and didn't say and more because...] What did you do to your hair?

[It doesn't matter if he isn't hers though, because for the moment she'll just take it as a win and be glad to see a version of an old friend.

Speaking of hair, hers will be shorter than the Kitty's he knows and she has a few years on her to boot. She's a mature twenty and she hasn't worn the orange suit in a long time. Technically, that wasn't even a thing when she first arrived. Times they are a'changin'.]

[That... was not the first question he had expected to hear after his broadcast. Then again, with everything that was happening in this strange place and the fact his mind was still too early in the process of being here to freak out about the fact this has all happened, Remy hadn't even made of list of questions, weird or not, he would get.]

I... cut it? [No, seriously, what type of question was that. Also, yes, he knows, he needs to grow it back out. Long hair looked better on him, even if not always practical.] Ya know, the opposite of growin' it out. Much more immediate results. [It also seems he has fallen into his 'coping through joking' phase.]

	Hair is definitely more efficient in that direction. [She's not sure what to make of his reaction other than that she threw him off which is a very her thing to do, but also... Does that mean there's no recognition?] Do you know who I am? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Shoving aside that numbness of the situation for now, Remy let out a huff of a sigh as he concentrated on her face in his visor, carefully studying her features in hope it would spark some sort of recognition in his brain. There was... something about her but... not enough for him to give her a name.] Sorry cherie, drawin' a blank.

[Logan and Mystique hadn't recognized her either. Well, Logan said something like, "one of Xavier's students." It hadn't made her feel much better especially coming from him, but it's not the first time. She'll deal. And he did just arrive. Maybe she could be a touch more thoughtful about that. It's been so long since she was a new arrival herself.]

It's Kitty. [A little more subdued.] You look like someone I know from home.
