If he wasn't dead, Spike could probably do with looking over his own alcohol habits. Can you be an alcoholic if you're a corpse? He always figured that was a bit of a get out of jail card, too late to repent and all that. He shrugs nonetheless, moves to pour Jack a cup. The coffee at the Shack has steadily gotten better, for the record. Ianto may have had something to do with that.

"Keep your hands to yourself and I'm sure you'll be just fine." For now, at least. He'd be disappointed if they didn't make use of this all the way.

Jack will be appreciative of the improved coffee. Though, frankly, given how much time Spike's spending with Ianto he'd be disappointed if it hadn't improved!

He gives Spike an amused look at the comment. "Fair enough - as long as I get to touch later! After all, isn't the whole point of our blue bands that you're one of the two people I can touch!"

And then he shrugs a little. "I just wanted to check in with you, really, after everything that's happened. And, you know... thank you for helping me and Ianto sort things out."

He leans against the counter with a crooked smile, arms folded under his chest. As much as he tries to play it cool, it's genuinely nice to hear that what he said had some impact, that it helped at all. He knew it would, of course, but getting feedback is always welcome.

"Isn't that the whole point of our blue bands? To be a team?"

Their different outlooks on this seem to work in their favor for once. Sex and emotions working together is the best way to go about anything, as it turns out.

"I'm glad to hear it's working out."

He gives a slow, wry smile of acknowlegement to that one. "I guess so. I just... I'm not sure we really are a team, yet. It feels like there's you and Ianto, and there's me and Ianto - some of the time, at least - and then I'm still not really sure where you and I fit into that. Or all three of us together. I mean, yeah, that one time we all got together was fantastic, but..."

He shrugs. "I guess I should just be happy I seem to have worked things out with Ianto, eh, and not worry about the rest of it just yet!"

You can't really blame him, Spike. He's just been through about as major a shift in self-knowledge as you can get, and it's going to be a while before he really accepts he's doing all right with it!

He appreciates the understanding look, though, and the comforting words, and does relax for now. "Thank god! I mean, I thought it was going okay, but it's a bit hard to believe after all that upset. And having Mistletoe Day at the same time really didn't help!"

"I know. I think that day definitely showed me that. It's just that since the physical communication comes so much more naturally to me, it really is the talking I need to concentrate on so that it is balanced, you know?"

He toasts Spike's beer with his coffee and takes another sip. "Did you enjoy what I did to his ass that day?"

Because he's kind of been dying to ask!

"Presents, huh, is that how you see them?" he asks, amused, partly because - yeah - hypocritical and partly because they are presents in a way. Even if the spanking, less than the bite marks and bruises, was far more about connecting with Ianto and giving him what he wanted than leaving marks for Spike to find and enjoy, it definitely added an extra dimension knowing that Spike would find them, and enjoy them.

"I have to admit, it wasn't quite what I expected to end up doing with him that day, but it seemed to do the trick!"

Surely he deserves a pass today. Extraordinary circumstances and all that, not every day you wake up as a woman and as cool as he's been about this, there are some things he can't deny. Some sensations are brand new, nerves rerouted into unfamiliar patterns. Of course he thinks about sex a lot today!

And if there's one thing he's discovered over the last few months, it's how much he enjoys withholding from Jack. Information, physical contact... it all adds to the thrill and there's a clear challenge in his tone of voice, in the way he leans back off the bar, loose t-shirt draping over his breasts. No bra. Luckily, Jack's a masochist and therefore enjoys it too - as long as he gets what he's after in the end! And that move of Spike's can't fail to draw his eyes down to the newly shapely form of Spike's chest and, yes, he can tell there's no bra to get in the way of groping, if he's allowed to grope. He'd really rather like to. He misses getting to grope breasts.

He lifts his eyes back up to Spike's face and smirks. "Well, if you're not going to tell me, I guess I'll just have to do some exploring of my own!"

"Since when has that ever stopped you?" he asks pointedly, because he has been given a good many hints about what Spike and Ianto get up to in here and, yeah, he hasn't seen anyone other than the three of them in here in a very long time.

"I mean, I am one of the two people in the dome you're legally allowed to try out this new body of yours with," he drawls, eyes twinkling across the bar at Spike. "You wouldn't want to waste such an opportunity, would you?"

He's loving the fact that so far as he's seen today, both the people who've been changed are people who can really enjoy and make the most of the fact. It makes a nice change from how the wardens' games usually work. (Mind you, he's yet to bump into Kanji, or any of the other people who got a raw deal today.)

As Spike swaggers towards him, his hands go out automatically to rest on those unusually curvy hips, and he uses that to pull Spike in towards him, smiling. "I'm sure we can think of something," he murmurs, one hand snaking up to cradle Spike's head as he leans in for a taste of those luscious lips.

Although very little has changed outside of his physical assets, Spike feels a bit more comfortable being handled by Jack today than he usually does. Something about the difference in size being more expected, or maybe heteronormative gender roles that sit too deeply in his bones to be fully ignored.

Either way he's melting into the touch, arms wrapping around Jack's shoulders and hips pressing in with a slow roll, eager to see how much the novelty of it all is affecting Jack. Sure has in the past.
