[ John just looks at the Doctor with his eyebrows raised. Something tells him that the man isn't into the mystic side of life. It's not meant for everyone. Most people turn their heel and run. ]

Yet, who we are and what we did mattered enough to land our asses in prison. Didn't it? What does a Lord of Time do to get himself into a place with the likes of the rest of us?

Lets cut to the chase and start with the number one offense. I'm surprised they haven't gotten the neon signs blaring over our heads about what we've done.

[ Although, John has a feeling the Doctor won't really buy what has landed him namely in jail. This time. There was that time he was possessed and ended up in a jail in Mexico for murdering people.

Yet he wasn't quite expecting that.

John simply shrugs and makes a bit of a face at that. ]

They were probably right pricks then. Whole species don't go out without some sort of karma going their way. Same with us lot. There's always a price. [ John flicks out his lighter and starts lighting the candles. ]
