Remind me to tell you about some of the things Jack and I have gotten away with at important meetings or high level phone calls sometime.

[There's a lot of things he gets off on, it's true, and this is absolutely one of them. Also, really, does Spike actually think Rebecca wouldn't mention this to him if she saw it? He has to consider for a moment, but it's a game that has potential.]

Well we could do something tame, loser takes the other out to dinner, that sort of thing, or we could go for something a bit more creative.

[He does this sort of thing, it's true. Between the stopwatches and naked hide and seek and everything else it should be apparent how much he enjoys games. So even though he does his best to act innocent there's a bit of a wicked twinkle in his eye as he replies.]

Well the entire point of a bet is to get someone to do something they normally wouldn't if they lose. So, for example, if I bet at least three people remark on it and I win I could pick something I don't think you'd do otherwise. For example record ourselves and send it to Jack on his communicator. And you'd get to pick a similar prize should you win.

Deal. Winner can collect the day after tomorrow. [That seems reasonable. He reaches out to fumble with the door, not stepping inside just yet. Spike always seems to want to carry him, and tonight he's fine with it as long as the destination is bed.] Now, what are we going to do until then?

As I recall, you still need to show me your bruises.

[ And since they're so clearly bothering him it'd be a shame to make him walk any longer than he has. Grinning, Spike scoops Ianto up in his arms, carrying him in bridal style as if he weighed nothing but 40 pounds soaking wet. He won't show quite as much care dumping him onto the bed, wanting to bring said bruises back into the game. ]

It's thrilling in an odd sort of way. He's not the one who made the bruises, which gives him permission to mess with them.

[For once there were no motives here. There often are with him but every now and then his reasons are straightforward and they certainly were with this. It was something to try, something to enjoy and that was the extent of it.

He makes a low noise in the back of his throats that's almost a purr as the warm softness of that tongue works its way across his skin, raising goosebumps in its wake.]
