He's not sure what he does that confuses Kanji so much, but he's starting to get used to it too, so he just smiles and says, "Thanks," and runs a finger lightly along the line of stitches across his forehead.

Stitches that feel remarkable real and bumpy, on skin that feels far too cool. He's quite well acquainted with cool skin these days from being around Spike, and Kanji's skin reminds him of that. The complete lack of body heat that comes with being dead.

"I think the wardens are up their tricks again," he mutters, stepping back again to give Kanji some space.

That just makes him stare blankly for a moment, because kissing really wasn't what was on his mind. Then he remembers how they first met in the company of a mistletoe bot and grins.

"Well, if you insist..." he drawls, and then relents. "Really wasn't planning on it." Especially because Kanji feels more like a son these days than a potential lover. "Different kind of tricks. I think they're turning people into their costumes."

It's not just the mistletoe bots, it's everything with him. It seems like basically every time something happens here he gets stuck kissing someone. Jack probably remembers the fiasco where he thought he was dating Euphie. The same day Jack thought he was his dad. Maybe the kissing thing will happen less now that she's gone but that's kind of a sad thought. "Whaddya mean turnin' people into costumes?"

	It is a sad thought. Not having anyone to kiss would definitely make Jack sad. At the question, he gives Kanji a patient look, waiting for him to get it, and then, when he doesn't, shakes his head and smiles. "You don't feel at all... like a real zombie today?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"Oh right, I guess you are," he realises his mistake. "Although Frankenstein's monster isn't exactly far from being a zombie. Re-animated dead guy and all that!"

(Of course, that would also describe Spike and he's nothing like a zombie!)

"Well, at least it's a pretty harmless kind of monster, I guess. If I remember rightly, he didn't go on a rampage until he was persecuted for his looks, and that's not so likely here!"

	He looks like he's not sure if he believes Jack or not. Then again, he's had a lot of bad experiences when it comes to people and his hobbies.
