Day 389 - Backdated to early morning! OPEN
[Another day another dollar. Only there are no dollars in Marina, and neither does she run the flower shop because she has to. Rather, she does it because she wants to. Because she needs the distraction, and enjoys watching things grow. The day is early, much earlier than her normal hours, but she needs a little time to think and organize her thoughts. And sometimes, even compared to her shared apartment, this is the place she can do it best.

And to be honest, she doesn't expect anyone to stop by so early in the morning. Not today. But should someone, they wont find Yuuki immediately anywhere in the store. At least not to start, despite the hot chocolate still steaming upon the counter top. Or at least... what they do find isn't what they expect.

With a small leap, a brown, fluffy cat jumps up onto the counter. Padding across the desk, she peers into the steaming beverage, before her whiskers twitch and she pulls back. Apparently it's too hot...]

[OOC: Have a Yuuki cat. She's simply playing around with her ability to transmute and change her appearance. It needed to be done for butler reasons.]

[Not expecting anyone in so early, is she? There's the sound of the front door opening as Sebastian enters, slipping in quietly to leave a heavy-looking bag behind the counter before he proceeds over to the flower pots.

Now, it's not like The Nine White Orchids is particularly busy, as far as workplaces go. There's not a whole lot of preparing to do before opening - Sebastian doesn't need to come in so early. But he has a few hours to kill before Ciel and Madam Red wake up: not enough to go for a look-around in Sector 6 (at times he's a bit more detained in there than originally planned, and that won't do when his master wants breakfast at a set time) and too long to spend on just memorising new recipes. Might as well take care of the heavy lifting for the day and check on how the new seeds are doing after the, ah, tender care they endured at the hands of Sebastian's co-workers yesterday.

It's not that miss Yuuki and miss Kaya are terrible. They're both hard workers, eager to learn, and neither is particularly incompetent. There's just the... mm, the occasional clumsy mishap. The new saplings look to be doing all right in spite of that, Sebastian concludes as he carefully - almost gently -touches the leaves before moving the pots to be more in the sunlight.]

...Ah, well. That takes care of that. [That took a whopping two minutes. Joy.]

[The sound of the bell chiming the arrival of a customer catches Yuuki off guard. Head turning, she sits up straighter-- only to realize that it's Sebastian.

Oh. She watches as he moves inside, carrying something that appears to be heavy, but that he carries easily within his hands, before putting it down. He fiddles with a couple of the flowers, looking over them, and Yuuki feels her heart swell up.

Well before he even has to, Sebastian is here, tenderly seeing to the flowers and helping to set up the shop for the day. Truly, she's never met someone so dedicated in her life. His attention to detail is unrivaled, and she's so happy that he decided to work in her small little shop.

Curiosity gets the better of her though. Jumping down and around the counter, she pads over to the bag he set down and gently paws it.

What's inside...?]

[It's a shame Sebastian can't get any cleaning out of the way already - if he could, he'd be able to spend more of the workday on drilling the girls in the different kinds of care needed by different kinds of plants. Well, it can't be helped: he'll just have to spend some time catching up on his reading instead. Provided no interruption he should have time to at least finish the first two volumes on computer programming - seeing as he did bring the books in his bag. All five heavy volumes of Sebastian's current readings.

But first to clean away that cup of chocolate that someone apparently forgot last night (note to self: talk to coworkers about the importance of a tidy work spa--)

Huh. The chocolate is still steaming - it's new. That's odd, why would anyone be in here so ear--]

Sebastian doesn't believe in fate. But what else could you call it, his deciding to come in early only to suddenly find himself face to face with... It's just the two of them here. As if she's here specifically to meet him.

Is it just him, or is the room suddenly full of shoujo sparkles and swelling music? For one moment, he can do nothing but stop dead in his tracks and stare at her.]

He's so strict about the upkeep of the store, that suddenly she isn't sure what he might think about finding a cat inside. Paw dropping from his bag, she sits back on her hind legs. But now she really can't give away who she is. What if he's embarrassed that she sees this side of him? She has to protect it. Because it's actually a really cute side. Not that she knows what she should do now. Think cat...

Lifting a paw, she... foregoes licking herself and simply brushes it over one of her ears.]

[That paw. That adorable, perfect little paw. Is it an invitation? A beckoning for him to approach? Or perhaps it's a completely meaningless gesture, one performed simply out of careless fancy (which is such a charming quality of cats, that complete disregard for anything but their own cute whims).

Either way, it's too much to resist. Moments later Yuuki suddenly finds herself scooped up in Sebastian's arms.]

Even though I am not the kind of person who would be so favoured by any higher power, meeting you like this feels almost fated...! Your fur is so soft, and the colour so deep and vibrant. And your paws, they are just irrestistible!

It's not particularly abnormal to find herself suddenly scooped up. Indeed, even in her human form. Well- vampire form (same difference). Regardless, usually she isn't so small, and furry, and flipped up in a way that she's on her back in his arms, paws up and belly exposed.

And then he begins to gently squeeze her (bean) paws. S-She's so sorry. It feels as though she's spying on a secret part of his life he doesn't want exposed! Unsure what to do, she begins to wriggle in his arms in an attempt to flip over.]

Dear heavens above she's sorry. He's always so proper and sophisticated- cool and collected and completely in control. It feels like she's somehow spying on him like this!? Like she's just looked into his diary or private affairs...

Unable to take it any longer, she jumps up and out of his arms, and changes as she does so- body shifting in the blink of an eye to land upon her feet as a 'human' girl. The moment her feet touch the ground, she dips into a deep bow.]

Sebastian-san, I'm...! I'm so sorry!

It feels wrong to keep such a form and not tell you. [Not if he's so taken with cats. At least not after witnessing it.] I had no idea you were such an animal person, but I promise I wont tell anyone how much you like cats! I don't want you to think I was staying like that out of personal amusement, and it feels disrespectful not to tell you after...

[This might be useful information. Yuuki - and most likely the other vampires from her world, by extension - are shapeshifters, capable of disguising themselves as possibly any manner of creature. What opportunities for spying or preying on unsuspecting people that would open up. How much more watchful Sebastian needs to be around the dome, to keep his master out of the clutches of these (if Spike's words are to be believed) bizarre, other world demons. Should he assume Spike has similar powers, at that?

After all, Sebastian too is a shapeshifter of sorts. The more similarities he finds between himself and the other supernatural creatures in the dome, the less inclined he is to trust them to keep their hands off what's his. Sebastian is intimately familiar with demons of his own world, after all, and their general level of respect for other people's property.]

[Of all the reactions, it's unexpected. In fact, she thinks the sparkles she saw emanating from him just a few seconds ago are back. She feels herself slump in a touch of relief. He's not upset, at least. Which makes her feel a little better.]

Right? I think cats are super cute as well! [Even though she actually likes both.] Their little ears, and whiskers are cute, and their hard to read attitudes make them enduring in their own way!

	Oh- no. I've only done it a couple times. I mean... usually there would be a reason for it. [And the only time before this in which she had, was when she had been fighting that nightmare being and the escaped raptors.
