[Closed to Spike]

[Funny how he wakes up feelings tired after so much sleep but maybe all the dreams have left him exhausted. He remembers some of them, some are more fuzzy, just impressions of rapidly fading feelings and images. He does remember the one with Spike though, and for awhile he's happy just to lay here curled up together, watching him sleep until he wakes up.]

[A little while later and he makes his way back upstairs to their flat, feeling a little guilty even if it wasn't his fault he stayed away longer than he planned to. And there's the fact that even though the scratches on his back and bruise on his leg are hidden under his jeans and t-shirt there's no disguising the raw red marks on his wrists from the handcuffs. There's not much point in hoping Jack won't remark on those so he just decides to hope for the best as he lets himself in.]

Ianto lets him turn his wrists over, examining them. It's a complicated question, and he thinks he's more into it because it's the two of them. Knowing one of them is going to leave something the other will see is an unexpected turn on for him. He's almost excited for Jack to see the mark on his thigh, the scratches on his back. But even removed from that context, if it were just the two of them, he thinks he would still like it. It's like a physical indication of what they've been doing, of their feelings. Is not something he needs or always wants but it's an exciting prospect.

So he just smiles, innocently and somehow not at all. "I suppose you'll just have to leave some marks of your own and see whether I like it or not."

He watches Ianto's face, grinning slightly in response to that smile because he does so love Ianto's ability to seem proper and incredibly flirtatious at the same time.

"Well, I seem to remember marking your shoulder up quite nicely the other day!" He knows Ianto likes that, much as he does himself, but whereas he mostly enjoys savouring marks for himself, touching them and catching sight of them at odd moments, he senses that for Ianto, right now, it's more about showing them off to his other partner.

"I guess I just never thought you'd be into marks this... formal, this obviously BDSM-related," he muses, pressing his finger into one of the darker bruises just to make it throb a bit, watching for a response.

Ianto's fingers twitch as Jack presses down on the bruise but otherwise he stays still, letting him push for reactions. They've never really pushed things too far in this direction so it's not even something he knew he enjoyed or would be interested in. And while it's not some sort of need for him it's not something he minds exploring. If last nights simple handcuffs were good he imagines Jack can be much more imaginative.

"I don't know that I did, either. It's not some sort of overwhelming need with me but I don't mind exploring t a bit if you'd like." He's always liked this about Jack, how easy it is to talk about sex with him. It never makes him feel self conscious or unsure.

Oh, Jack is already getting all sorts of ideas, just from watching his reactions and listening to what he says, and the way he says it.

His grin widens a bit, appreciative as always of Ianto's willingness to try new things. "I'd enjoy that," he agrees, letting Ianto's hands go and reaching for his coffee instead. "I mean, I don't want to turn this into some sort of pissing contest between me and Spike as to who can mark you up the most, but... it would be nice to experiment with some low level pain, perhaps?"

Still watching for Ianto's reactions as he arches an eyebrow and adds, "I believe I do owe you a spanking, after all!"

He is always willing to try new things, which was initially why ther worked so well together when it was just sex, no feelings involved. Everything he's done with Jack has been new to some extent after all and he has no complaints so far.

So he actually smiles at the suggestion, and at the chance to go for his own coffee as well. "I'd like that. And yes, I believe you did promise that. I believe the library was involved in that suggestion."

"I believe it was!" Jack agrees archly. He cocks his head, and grins. "Late one night, perhaps. I know we do pretty well at the keeping the noise down, mostly, but I'd rather be undisturbed for that one."

He takes a sip of his coffee, and says thoughtfully, "You know, it seems like ages since we planned out a scene like that. I'm not saying we haven't had sex, but lately a lot of it's seemed to be spontaneous and/or trauma-related. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I do love the anticipation of looking forward to something like that too!"

"I think Sam is getting a bit tired of walking in on us," He agrees with a chuckle over the rim of his mug. And it sounds like this might be a bit harder to keep quiet during than their usual library antics. "Sometime in the next few nights, maybe? I'll work late."

It does feel good and he nods in agreement. "We've had too much go wrong lately. I miss this." It feels like things went so well here for so long but lately it's been nothing but drama. Starting with when he died, maybe, but it feels like he's been desperately treading water and trying to keep his head up any way he can since then. Only now in the last few days has it started to feel like he might be starting to get things under control, which is odd considering how complicated they've become.

	"Really? With Sam?" That's not what he would have expected, and he looks surprised. "That's going to make for some entertaining awkwardness with him. Any other sexy dreams? I assume most of yours were." He promised Spike he'd do his best not to tip Jack off that he remembers their dream, even if he does think it would be for the best if they both remembered. "I'll make sure to make some pointed comments next time I encounter him to see how much he blushes." Objectively Sam is attractive, but he doesn't exactly see him that way. They have a book club, their friendship is basically the opposite of sexy.

"No idea." Bland innocence. He has no doubt Jack will read right through it but he did promise to try to be discreet. It's not his fault if Jack knows him well enough to read between the lines.

Yeah, Jack never really saw him that way either before yesterday, and even yesterday was relatively impersonal - literally just sex with no emotional charge to it. Rather refreshing, for a change, considering just how emotionally charged his recent couplings with Ianto and (very recently) Spike have been.

He considers Ianto's innocent expression with an amused one of his own. In actual fact, considering how many sexy dreams he had yesterday, he wasn't thinking specifically about the one with Spike, and he hadn't really got as far as working out that Spike might have mentioned it to Ianto. He's working it out now, though, because that expression on Ianto's face is way too innocent to be for real.

Two can play at that game, though. He grins disarmingly and confides, "I had loads of sexy dreams, actually. Promise you won't get jealous if I tell you about them?"

Oops. Well he can't say he didn't try and it's not as though he actually mentioned anything or deliberately gave it away. "I don't think I'm in much of a position to judge you for anything sexual." After the thing with the black bands he's fairly sure Jack's allowed to do what he wants, at least where situations like this are concerned.

"And before you ask you were the only sex dream I had." Which may surprise him but it's true. He had a dream with Spike but aside from some kissing and lots of handholding it was mostly just talking.

"Seriously?" His eyebrows go up. "Though I guess you have been getting extra sex in your actual waking hours, or as awake as we actually are in this place. I guess me sleeping with half the dome while I was dreaming is my way of compensating for that!"

He bites his lip, because he feels he ought to tell Ianto this. "I had two dreams with Kitty, and in both of them I was in love with her, and in a relationship with her. I don't know how much of that was coming from our subconscious and how much was prompted by the wardens, but sometimes it really does feel like they're out to make trouble with my relationships!"

As if things aren't complicated enough trying to make things work with both Ianto and Spike!

"Or I occasionally do enjoy doing other things besides sleeping with people," He suggests dryly. Although at this point it does seem to be an activity that's become more of a priority for him than he expected.

He nods, privately feeling worse for Kitty than for Jack. He knows she's worried about getting back together with Reid and somehow he suspects this won't help. "Maybe they get bored. Have you talked to her today?"

He tilts his head in acknowledgement. "Chuck was telling me the other day that I should get some hobbies that don't involve sleeping with people," he agrees. "I'm sensing a theme here!"

And yeah, he suspects this is going to be much harder on Kitty than it is on him. He shakes his head. "Not yet. I kind of wanted to talk to you first, make sure you're okay about it so I can reassure her?"

Not that how Ianto's taking it will be anywhere near the top of her worries, but it might help a bit?

Frankly he can't imagine what sort of hobbies Jack would take up. It seemed like Torchwood filled that void before coming here. He can't help but laugh a bit at the idea of Jack taking up knitting or water colors or something. "Maybe she just wants to recruit you as a waiter."

He quirks an eyebrow at him. "I really don't think I'm in any position to judge you for sleeping with someone. It won't bother me if you talk to her."

"A waiter?" He hadn't thought of that idea, and it makes him chuckle. "Nah, that's your sort of thing, not mine! She suggested family bowling nights when I'm... at a loose end, which sounds like fun. And I have thought vaguely about taking Kanji up on his offer to help me start knitting again. I learned years ago but I'm a little rusty!"

Spookily echoing Ianto's thoughts without realising it. He's really not into water colours though.

"And okay, thanks. I'll give her a call later."

When he can work himself up to it.

"Have you ever even been bowling?" All he can picture is Jack rolling a ball in that dramatic coat of his and he grins a little at the mental picture. Also at the way he seems to be taking Kanji and Nico and half the other kids here under his wing. It's cute, and he wonders how much of it has to do with his past, with all the children he must have had over the years and how few of them would have been any part of his life.

As for Kitty calling is probably a good idea. "I'll get in touch with her as well, make sure she doesn't think I'm upset about it or something like that. I'm assuming she's the only sex dream you had, model of restraint that you are."

"Of course I have! Actually, didn't I take you bowling that day I took you out for a day-long date, a while back?" He took the coat off, though. It really would get in the way.

As for the kids here, he's always been all about helping people. It's just that the ways of doing that tend to be a little smaller and less dramatic than the almost daily Earth-saving that used to go on back in Cardiff.

He gives Ianto a grateful look for being so cool about the whole Kitty thing (even if he would be rather hypocritrical if he did get upset, considering the whole Spike thing) and then gives him a rather limpid look. "Oh, no, there were more. Martha, for one. Which was very weird, considering the current state of our relationship!"

"You did, didnt you? I must have forgotten about it in the midst of the fantastic sex." That day will always be a mixed bag of emotions for him because on the one hand it's one of the best days he and Jack have ever spent together, but on the other he knows what caused it, that they were only there because of the emotional mess he was after finding out he was going to die. It seems so much longer ago than a few months, and that fear seems so unimportant in the face of everything that happened after it.

"That does sound uncomfortable. Do you think it will do anything to improve her attitude towards the situation?" Frankly he doesn't think she'll come around any time soon, which makes him feel sad and stubborn all at once.

Jack laughs at the sex comment, even though he too knows it's not the only thing Ianto remembers about that day. He knows it always has to remind of what came before, what prompted it.

The Martha thing, though... "It was great at the time!" he admits, with a wry little shrug. "But I'm kind of worried she'll hate the idea of it now we're back in the 'real' world and feel she's been taken advantage of or something. I think it may hurt things rather than improve them."

"I think I had a dream with her," He struggles to remember, since while some dreams remain clear others as starting to fade and become more fuzzy. He has an image of Martha smiling in the Hub but the rest is becoming harder to hold onto. "I think we just talked, but I don't remember is being about here." So neither of them will have done much to help the situation.

"I think the only other dreams I had were one with Sam, but it was similar, just taking. And one with Spike." Unsurprising.

"I had another one with her too, I think," he says, frowning slightly. "We were at the Blessing - she killed me to save the world - no, that was Chuck, or... no. Chuck didn't kill me, but she was there as well, I think." In general, he seems to be holding onto his memories of his dreams better than Ianto, perhaps as a result of his psychic training, or simply his fifty-first century physique, but even so some are starting to go a little fuzzy around the edges.

One, though, is still crystal clear in his mind. His lips twitch as Ianto finally brings up the subject of Spike, which he had of course somewhat deliberately been leaving as long as he could to see if Ianto would cave first. "You had a dream with Spike?" he asks, eyebrows arching innocently. "How jealous should I be?"

It's tempting to tease but he's the one who just came home from a night in another man's bed. He doesn't think he should push it. "If you're jealous of talking and lots of handholding then you should be. He saw the Hub, which I hope was a good thing. Might give him a better idea of how Torchwood operates." He had almost seemed relieved to resize they're not the squeaky clean heroes he seems convinced of.

"Otherwise there's not much worth reporting. I saw a bit of Sunnydale but mostly we just taked a lot." And kissed. There was a lot of kissing, but that's pretty standard for them lately.
