[Closed to Spike]

[Funny how he wakes up feelings tired after so much sleep but maybe all the dreams have left him exhausted. He remembers some of them, some are more fuzzy, just impressions of rapidly fading feelings and images. He does remember the one with Spike though, and for awhile he's happy just to lay here curled up together, watching him sleep until he wakes up.]

[A little while later and he makes his way back upstairs to their flat, feeling a little guilty even if it wasn't his fault he stayed away longer than he planned to. And there's the fact that even though the scratches on his back and bruise on his leg are hidden under his jeans and t-shirt there's no disguising the raw red marks on his wrists from the handcuffs. There's not much point in hoping Jack won't remark on those so he just decides to hope for the best as he lets himself in.]

	Ianto can't keep from trembling as Jack begins his investigation of the bruise, particularly because he knows that's the one make that was deliberate, that Spike made a point of leaving so he would see it. "You know, between the two of us, you could end up pretty black and blue if we're not careful!" Jack comments, deciding not to bit over Spike's mark because he's already renewed his own mark up on Ianto's shoulder and he feels that's enough for now.

Instead, he tucks his fingers into the waistband of Ianto's shorts and tugs them down, smirking at the erection thus revealed but more interested in studying the rest of the exposed skin for any more evidence of Spike.

"I trust you both." Jack has always been good about asking about limits and making sure he likes what they're doing, and he and Spike had a discussion about what they are and aren't willing to do together. But more than that he means what he said; he trusts them both. And he's more than a little into this.

He makes a quiet noise of surprise as Jack pulls off his shorts then smiles. There likely won't be any more indications to find. They had a lot of sex and he was the bottom both times there was penetration but it's been a day, he doubts it's that much noticible anymore. Who knows with Jack, though. Maybe he can smell pheromones or something.

That quiet, sure statement has him sitting back on his heels for a moment so he can study Ianto's face. It's a good thing to hear. Okay, he was pretty sure Ianto trusted him, and it's a trust that goes both ways, especially considering how their relationship has deepened and strengthened since they've been here, but with Spike? He himself hasn't quite got to that stage yet, mostly because they've been dancing around each other for so long and things have changed so much between them that he still never knows quite what to expect.

So hearing that Ianto, at least, trusts Spike that much is vastly reassuring and in a way gives him extra hope for his own relationship with Spike.

"I'm glad," he says simply, with a smile, before scooting round behind Ianto so he can see his ass. No obvious scratches or marks there either - Spike clearly hasn't gone overboard with that - but when he gently parts Ianto's cheeks his experienced eye notes that there's still a slight redness around Ianto's hole, a couple of small abrasions from hard, enthusiastic sex. He presses an affectionate kiss against said hole and then swings round to the front again to smirk up at Ianto. "You're still bottoming for him, then," he remarks, laying another kiss on that still trying-to-be-hard-despite-too-much-sex cock before deliberately pulling Ianto's carefully shorts back up again and then reaching down for the jeans still pooled around his ankles.

That's the whole point of all of this, at least in his mind. Their relationships are different and it will be awhile before he's willing to let himself open up to anything like admitting how much he cares about Spike (it took years to get to telling Jack he loved him after all. He moves slow and tentatively with these things.) but there are a few things that are the same where both of them are concerned. He trusts both of them completely, Jack because he's proven over and over again that he can, because he's watched him save the world and not him and seen how much that loss hurt him. Going through everything they have makes it impossible not to have that implicit trust in every aspect of their relationship.

As for Spike their relationship started off in the worst way possible and he has the bite scars to prove it. Seeing something change from that to friendship to something more even when he was the catalyst for having his soul forced back into him makes has been a very different journey than his relationship with Jack but in the end the result is the same. He trusts him, and he knows this is more than just sex. Whatever it is it's real, different but real. Of course he trusts both of them with himself, body and emotions.

He sighs at the kisses, beaming down at Jack and letting him begin to replace his clothing with some reluctance. "It may be awhile before we work up to anything else, but you know I like it." He's always liked the flexibility of their roles in bed, and that's another difference from what he and Spike are doing.

The trust makes sense, given what they've experienced together, but it's still flattering, and somewhat humbling. He finds it harder to comprehend the level of trust Ianto has in Spike, but a lot of that may well be to do with the fact that what attracts him to Spike is the complete opposite - not the fact that he feels safe with him but the fact that he doesn't. Ianto, perhaps, is looking for someone safe he can connect with emotionally to balance the exuberance Jack brings to their relationship. Jack, on the other hand, is looking for excitement and thrills.

It's interesting, and pretty cool, he realises, that they can apparently both find what they're looking for in Spike.

He considers this a bit more as he works Ianto's jeans up his legs and fastens them up again. "Yeah, I know you like it," he smiles up at him. And he knows he tends to call on Ianto to top probably a little more often than he would given the choice, so this works out well for him. On the other hand... "You are planning to introduce him to the joys of bottoming some time, though, aren't you?"

It's been a good balance so far. He's always liked how adventurous Jack is in bed, how he never seems to lack new ideas or experiences. By contrast Spike seems happy to take things slow and while he likes it the idea of introducing him to new things is exciting. He thinks it must be how Jack feels with these things. It's hard not to think about sex all the time when you know there are so many new things to show a partner.

"Oh, of course I am. Although I may have to get him drunk first." A little laugh accompanies that statement and he holds out a hand to help Jack to his feet. "Is this how you felt with me when we first started?" Not that it took him this long to work up to letting Jack fuck him but he imagines it must be a similar feeing.

He takes the hand and, once he's up, uses it to tug Ianto out of the kitchen and over to the couch, glancing back at him with an amused smile.

"The excitement of watching someone experience things for the first time, tempered with occasional slight impatience?" he asks, flashing him a quick grin to show he's only joking. (Well, mostly. Impatience did occasionally rear up - of course it did - but mostly the joy of introducing Ianto to new things had more than made up for it.)

"Have you actually talked to him about it?"

"That sounds about accurate, yes." He agrees, collapsing happily on the couch once they reach it. It's funny how exhausted he feels after sleeping all day. Maybe it's more emotional exhaustion from the dreams. Either way it feels good to curl up with Jack like this.

"Not yet. Just more general things. His sexual past with men, what's offlimits for either of us or what we like. I think it's better to work up to it." This whole thing is new enough and unusual enough that he imagines it could scare anyone off. "Any advice?"

Jack's more than happy to just curl up again too, especially now he has an Ianto to curl up with.

"Well, there are lots of ways to approach it, but basically it boils down to two options: ease him in by talking about it, or easing him in through touch. It's easy enough, say, during a blow-job to ease your fingers back and start touching him there, get him used to the sensation, or if you're sucking on his balls just move your mouth gradually further back. And then take it from there. It's usually pretty easy to tell if he wants more or not!"

He grins, and then sobers a bit. "What has he actually said to you about his past? He's made it pretty clear Angel buggered him, but I'm not sure how consensual it was, and it'll certainly complicate things if he has really negative memories of it."

"Ah yes, I remember the touch method." Ianto replies with a wry smile. Maybe it was a predictably physical route for Jack, or maybe he just made it more apparent early on what he was into. Either way it's probably what he'll try with Spike. So far he's seemed pretty receptive to things in the heat of the moment.

"I'm not sure how much concent or negativity can really factor into it when two soulless vampires are involved. I don't think it was much more than a bit of messing around and I don't think he has negative or positive memories of it. I get the impression he just sort of looks as it as a thing that happened and nothing more." They haven't discussed it that I depth but he's getting good at reading between the lines with Spike and he also knows that when he cares about a person he doesn't hide it. Same for when he dislikes them. If it had been a bad experience he would have said as much by now.

He chuckles softly at the first comment, and then goes quiet, listening. He trusts Ianto's analysis of Spike, not just because Ianto's spent more time with him - and more time talking to him - but because he knows first hand how good an analyst Ianto is.

"All right," he agrees, nodding slowly. "That'll certainly make it easier. I must admit, I wasn't sure how he felt about it myself. It's quite difficult to tell beneath the jokes and the front he puts up. But I think you may be right that it's just not a big thing for him."

He smirks a bit. "After all, even after all his 'I'm not gay' protestations, when it came down to it, he certainly didn't seem to have a problem with the fact I'm a man!" A little shiver as he remembers again just how hot that coupling was.

"It does take awhile to get past the attitude." Maybe he only succeeded because he was willing to listen. He tried to understand how he felt after getting his soul back and that willingness to at least attempt to understand it was the start of all this.

As for sexuality they haven't actually talked all that much about it. So far it hasn't seemed to freak Spike out too much and it hasn't really seemed worth analyzing to death. He's long since given up on doing that for himself after all. "I don't think he ever cared as much as he said."

"Yeah." A big, hefty nod. He's only just starting to understand how different the Spike underneath is from the Spike-persona he lets the world see. "He won't let you in unless he trusts you, and after everything, I don't think he trusts me that much, and I don't blame him. But we're both trying. I mean, we are actually talking, these days."

And it's obvious from what happened in their shared dream that they are making progress with it.

He chuckles softly. "Yeah, I'm getting that. I've seen him freaked out by me, like when I insisted we all kiss after getting the bands, but I really haven't got the impression that any of it was about my gender. And I am trying to tone it down a bit. It's just that he tends to bring out my over-the-top side!"

"And you had a sexy dream." Don't forget that because he sure isn't going to. Quite the opposite; he's going to have a lot of fun imagining it once he's got time. And it might not be the same as trust or talking but it's a very different way to let your walls down around someone and hopefully it helps them both do that.

He smiles at the explanation. "I know you are. I don't think you need to worry, though. Be yourself. He'll respect you more for that than if you try to be something different for his sake."

He can't help laughing a bit at Ianto bringing up the dream again. He can't really blame him, since he's been spending quite a lot of time imagining their couplings too.

And looking forward to a time when he might be invited to join in.

"That's true," he agrees, giving Ianto a little squeeze. "It's definite progress! And yeah. I do kind of get that. It's just trying to work out which version of me is the real one in order to give him that! I've lived with this persona a very, very long time!"

"For the record I like every version of you," He points out, leaning in for a quick kiss that's somewhat ruined by a yawn. He grins a little sheepishly although at this point he's already accepted that getting involved with a vampire will play havoc with his sleep schedule.

"I don't know about you but I could use a shower. Come on, let's get cleaned up. And maybe if nothing too crazy happens we can test out some of those library plans later." He's rather looking forward to an uneventful day together for once.
