[If he could read those thoughts he'd make a comment about poetry. Honestly he should have guessed at that hobby sooner, with the way Spike always talks about things. So much romance and drama. Both of which are things he loves right now. And really why sit here and play coy? They both know what they want. For him to lean in and bring their lips together, confident and possessive, mixing the tastes of coffee and whiskey and blood. Look at that, he didn't even have to get drunk this time.]

[Why have they had this ridiculous back and forth between them for so long? They've wasted so much time pretending this doesn't exist, that they don't both want this. All the lectures he's gotten from Jack about the limitations of 21st century mentality feel like they finally click into place today. How caring about more than one person doesn't mean loving either of them less or take away what you can have with either of them. He loves Jack, he loves their relationship, adores him for being his hero and his lover and everything in between but he can still want Spike as badly as he does, is still allowed to pull him as close as he can until they are both balanced precariously on the edge of their bar stools, pressed together for balance and because he wants it, the same way he wants to keep kissing him like nothing else matters but how good this feels.]

[ It's a good question. They've already proven that they work just fine together and he'd be lying if he said that he hasn't thought about that day, on and off, especially after Rose's disappearance. It was a good day with good sex but also so many other good things and he wants that even more than he wants to get off.

He slides off the barstool soon enough, curling his arms around Ianto's back, holding him close with such tenderness it's almost like he's inches away from scooping him up and carrying him back home, bridal style. ]

[He'd prefer to avoid any carrying situations but other than that this is perfect. Spike might be tender and sweet in his kisses but Ianto wants more than that. This is more than kissing now, his hands are already moving, roving over Spike's shoulders and down his chest, tugging at the hem of his shirt to get at the skin underneath. They're going to get in trouble with the rules of this place if things go much further but right now he doesn't care.]

[It always tends to happen with them, doesn't it? Anyway, what influence? It's a totally normal day here. Nothing to be factored in, no decisions to be regretted later. Nothing can go wrong for him today. Certainly not this.]

I look damn good in it, though. [He knows the power of his suits. And when it comes to immortal men in coats, well, he's got lots of practice getting things out of the way. Right now he doesn't care if anyone walks in while he finishes getting Spike's shirt out of the way, along with said coat if it happens to be on today. After all the times he and Jack have been caught fucking in the library he's long past caring about the possibility of being interrupted.

[Booths are good. So are bars or tables or any surface really as far as Ianto's concerned. Let's go with the booth. He can even lose his jacket and tie along the way. He lets Spike back him up until his legs bump against the padded seat then let's go of him just long enough to fish around inside the pocket of his vest and pull out a small packet of lube to toss to him; always at the ready in case of emergency library sex with Jack.]

[His breath catches as Spike starts working his shirt open, shivering with excitement as his skin is exposed to the cool air of the bar. In a way the layers are a good thing; its not bad to slow down a bit now that they know they're really doing this. It might not be the most romantic place but they can still take their time and enjoy it. Most of his first encounters with Jack were the same way, hidden out of sight of coworkers around the Hub whenever they caught a break between saving the world. But really he's not thinking about Jack right now. This is too good, too long awaited and it feels different than before. The last time this happened it didn't feel like their first time. This does. There's nothing messing with their heads - obviously - or manipulating them. It's just them both wanting this so badly after so much sexual tension for so long.]

[ It does feel different than all that. Like he won't wake up from a terrible dream in the morning. This makes sense and even though he's pretty damn happy they do have that first time under their respective belts, he's even happier that they get a second go at a first time. With everything that's gone on between them, he wants to do it right.

He lets Ianto's shirt hang open, hands sliding to caress along his spine with great adoration. Eager to feel more heat he moves in to kiss along Ianto's neck, blunt teeth gently nipping at his skin. Long gone are the days when he wanted nothing more than to break that very same skin and that means something. Of course it does. ]

[It means everything that he trusts Spike's teeth on his throat. The overlapping scars are still there, one from the attack that very first night they met and from when Jack lost control in that body and started the permanent change in Ianto's opinion of Spike. It's been a long time since then, since the scars bothered him at all. It's impossible not to make a purring sound with he's doing that with his lips and teeth.

He works Spike's belt open, unzipping his trousers with slow deliberateness so he can slide his fingers inside, stroking against him and feeling the reaction against his hand. Maybe he should say something about how hot all this is, how into it he is but it feels unnecessary. They both already know it.]

He wants this, badly, wants Spike to just pin him down and fuck him in this booth in the middle of the day in this very public place and screw the consequences. He kicks his shoes and socks off clumsily to make it easier to get his trousers out of the way, hand still hard at work as his lips take a break from exploring any bit of skin they can reach so he can mutter,] Anything you want. Just do it.

[ That's all the permission he needs, close enough to a command to get him going. He hasn't been on his own for that long but while he's far from desperate, he is a creature of passion. His hands work fast, tugging clothes out of the way and not caring much for where they end up or if he rips anything in the process. [This is what he wants anyway, skin and hands and heat. It feels like they've had weeks of foreplay anyway. He inhales sharply at the press of those fingers, squirming against them like he can't get enough. His free arm wraps itself around Spike's shoulders, steadying him, clinging tightly like he needs the reassurance this is real, it's really finally happening.]

Write something original but for now he'll have to settle for borrowing someone else's words, pick up where they left off the other day while his fingers rub and prod, gently pushing inside. ]

[That's the sort of thing that takes a person's breath away, that leaves him lightheaded and weak in the knees so he has to slowly, carefully sink into his back on the seat of the booth, which is where he wants to be anyway. It's tricky with the fingers but Spike's strong enough for him to hang onto his shoulders and readjust himself a bit until his able to lay there and stare up at him in utter adoration as he speaks. He's quite sure he's had more romantic moments in his life but right now he can't think of a single one.]
