I'm glad. [Even if he weren't feeling like nothing could go wrong today he would have said that. He's been more worried than he'd like to admit the past few days about Spike, about how many more comments he's going to get about belonging or how often he's going to be the only one trying to cheer him up. And yes, he's feeling the affection but with the mood he's in today it doesn't feel weird to get. After all he is pretty great, right? People are into him, affection is normal.] Want to get some coffee? Seems nicer than just standing in the street talking. You could add blood instead of cream.

[If he could read those thoughts he'd make a comment about poetry. Honestly he should have guessed at that hobby sooner, with the way Spike always talks about things. So much romance and drama. Both of which are things he loves right now. And really why sit here and play coy? They both know what they want. For him to lean in and bring their lips together, confident and possessive, mixing the tastes of coffee and whiskey and blood. Look at that, he didn't even have to get drunk this time.]

[Why have they had this ridiculous back and forth between them for so long? They've wasted so much time pretending this doesn't exist, that they don't both want this. All the lectures he's gotten from Jack about the limitations of 21st century mentality feel like they finally click into place today. How caring about more than one person doesn't mean loving either of them less or take away what you can have with either of them. He loves Jack, he loves their relationship, adores him for being his hero and his lover and everything in between but he can still want Spike as badly as he does, is still allowed to pull him as close as he can until they are both balanced precariously on the edge of their bar stools, pressed together for balance and because he wants it, the same way he wants to keep kissing him like nothing else matters but how good this feels.]

[ It's a good question. They've already proven that they work just fine together and he'd be lying if he said that he hasn't thought about that day, on and off, especially after Rose's disappearance. It was a good day with good sex but also so many other good things and he wants that even more than he wants to get off.

He slides off the barstool soon enough, curling his arms around Ianto's back, holding him close with such tenderness it's almost like he's inches away from scooping him up and carrying him back home, bridal style. ]

[He'd prefer to avoid any carrying situations but other than that this is perfect. Spike might be tender and sweet in his kisses but Ianto wants more than that. This is more than kissing now, his hands are already moving, roving over Spike's shoulders and down his chest, tugging at the hem of his shirt to get at the skin underneath. They're going to get in trouble with the rules of this place if things go much further but right now he doesn't care.]
