[He's not familiar enough with her world, really, to have thought twice about calling her human. He still thinks of himself as at least mostly human, and he forgets that 'human' is almost a dirty word where she comes from.

That sounds like it could certainly be worth a try - might even be our best bet. There are several of us who might be able to help with hacking, aren't there?

[He chuckles, and offers up his other wrist to point out the normal watch he wears on that one.] Hardly. Primarily, it's a vortex manipulator, a time-travel and teleport device. Or it used to be, a long time ago.

[He flips the strap open to show her the inner workings.] It also used to be a working communicator, before the wardens got to it. About all I can manage these days is to sync it up as a remote control for my bedroom lights.

[He rolls his eyes.] It can tell the time too. [Pointing out the display, which would include spatial co-ordinates as well as temporal ones if the wardens hadn't disabled them.] It's just not the most important thing it does!
