I'm not talking about waiting a few decades or anything. [She hasn't put a stopwatch on it. And there are times she's having this argument with herself, saying she deserves a little happiness too and she's not going to find that with someone who throws her away when things get hard.

But then she remembers what it was like with him when things were good and it felt right. He's smart and cute and he can be sweet and brave.]

I just know what it's like to lose people you love and feel like it's your fault. And I know about pushing people away because you don't feel like you deserve them or that they'll get hurt because of you too. [But those are not the only reasons people push others away. Sometimes they just don't want them.]
