But a war is a war - he must've had good reason to teach. And if he's going to pick a pupil she better be damn worth it, living up to potential. So he regards her (more so her claws) for a second without much of a show of emotion before making a grunting 'hn'.]

	He didn't talk about his past much. I don't know if that's because he's him or because he didn't know. He spent a lot of time in Japan before Magneto recruited him though.
