Death wasn't the worst part of what Tyki did, in the end. It was everything leading up to it that he wasn't prepared for.] It doesn't matter if I want to or not. I already did.

[Ianto was never really supposed to be a field agent. Maybe that's why Jack has never treated him like one. He probably wouldn't have tried to hide Gwen in the apartment, even if she would have let him - which she wouldn't have. He would have trusted her to take care of herself. And maybe it's a blind apot because he cares too much or because Ianto never really got all those long intimate hours of training but whatever it is Jack always moves to protect him, and maybe he's started to assume that's the only way he can react to situations.

Alright. [He turns and follows Spike towards the center, privately grateful he didn't wear a suit today. He's opted for them less lately, mostly because he's been avoiding the library and doesn't need to dress up in what he considers work appropriate attire.
