[Kitty is standing in a clothing store in Sector 4, trying not to freak out. She doesn't understand how it's possible, but she woke up decidedly pregnant ~~or at least her reflection did.~~ Not so much that it looks like she's giving birth any second, but more than enough to know it's not just that burrito from last night.

Shockingly, the prison clothing store does not carry maternity wear, but she needs something to...hide it. Until she can figure this out.

And eventually she'll have to leave the store, so there might be some attempts at stealth mode getting back to the apartment. Is it safe to airwalk through tree limbs while pregnant? Watch out for occasional falling leaves when she solidifies for a break.]

[She would hold him tighter if it didn't mean squishing him and herself. There's still that part of her thinking she needs to protect the baby. It's not a fully conscious thought she can push a way.]

They would be a really cute, annoyingly smart team. [She laughs again, but there's sadness in it—a choked back sob. But this is good. It's a little release for what she's been holding in today.]

It's just one more disappointment to deal with and if she really had been pregnant this situation would've been filled with a lot more not okay from his side. This is good, though. It doesn't really change anything in the end and if it does, it's not for the worse. ]

[She leans against him.] You usually are. [There's a little nuzzle out of instinct more than anything. This is their room. Their bed. He's holding her. It's not sexual, but it also may not be appropriate for their current standing. She doesn't think much about it either way at the moment.]

I'll be okay. It's just a lot of stuff I try not to think about that much.

[ Close, but also terrible. Or not terrible, just ill-advised and as much as he's enjoying the kiss (spark of butterflies and all) he knows that this isn't the time for it. Too many emotions in the air. Last time they got caught up like this it went too far and then, not long after, he had to retreat. It's too fragile a situation to do that again and even though he doesn't shy away from the kiss, he does keep it light and eventually let it taper off into a nuzzle. ]

[She hears the lack of a verbal response pretty loudly there, but she tries not to think about it too much. It's just timing, right? She can't jump too far forward...or backward. He needs time. And no amount of waking up falsely thinking they might be starting a family has changed that. She just holds on.] Pavel made me that offer too. [The one where it's a world, and not a future.]

He's a nice guy for someone who looks like a budding serial killer. [Going on mostly just because she's not sure why she said anything in the first place. Maybe just to break the silence of what he wasn't saying.]

Right? It's... weird, isn't it. How much they look alike. [ They've talked about this before, but it still feels safer than anything else they could talk about. ]

Not that she wants to make him jealous and there isn't anything to be jealous about, but it's nice there's that wanting in him for her.] So weird. I think the accent helps.
