Day 275? Oh, my...

[So she too had succumbed to the disappearances that plague the dome. Her first thought, quickly dampened, is for Kira. She won't give up hope, yet it seems doubtful that he would have arrived again in her absence, being only a very seldom addition to her life here. As for her second thought, no doubt she'll have confirmation either way very shortly.]

[Woozy from the strange, yet not entirely unfamiliar sensation of her memories of home overlaying her last memories of the dome, Lacus applies her extraordinary focus and steadies herself. The still-fragile peace back home will have to be entrusted to others, for now, and she must come to accept being imprisoned yet again... or still, depending on which memories she favors. Yet more to sort out once she has a moment.]

[In the meantime, she smiles into the video feed, easy and sanguine.] It would seem I've been gone a number of weeks; I should think I've missed quite a lot. Perhaps someone could fill me in?

And, hello to anyone I've not met. My name is Lacus Clyne, and I'm glad to meet you in spite of the circumstances.

I think he might be happier when he can be more sure it's not temporary. [As sure as any of them can be, anyway.]

But I'm glad you were looking after each other. [She knows there's no need to say "thank you" because Aidan would have looked after Sougo regardless of any promise he made her. But she's grateful and relieved all the same.]

I'm sorry if things have been difficult.

[It does not escape her calculation that if her room was left alone, there is no way Euphie has her own room.] It would seem I've missed quite a lot that happened to you. [ There's some sharing happening, both of rooms and beds. Aidan was reluctant to the solution at first but seeing as Euphie wouldn't let him take the couch... best solution available. She's not wrong that a lot has happened. ]

You know how this place is... shit happens all th' time. [ Like cursing. He didn't do that as liberally as he does now. ] You don't gotta be gone long for things to change.

I suppose not. [She had changed quite a bit while she was here, even. It's discouraging though that Aidan seems so... broken. He has, or had, such a wonderful spirit. She would hate it if that were somehow dampened.]

I'd like to hear about it, if you ever wish to tell me. [Her request leaves him the flexibility to decide that no, he doesn't want to. Not knowing won't stop her in the least from being supportive however she can.]

Talking feels too weak a cure these days and talking to Lacus... he doesn't think she'll get it. She'll tell him everything will be fine and that they'll take care of each other but he's not so sure she'll get it the way Sougo has. ]

I don't know. [That's as honest an answer as she can give. Sougo will not like if she doesn't move back in, but his comfort is not the only factor.] As you said, much has changed and I am not privy to any of it. It's difficult to say what would be best for everyone.

What do you think? [Changed or not, she values his opinion.]

[As bad as she feels for Sougo's pain, she will find a way to make him okay even if she can't move back in. Part of her wonders if it really would be best for him to have her so close, given that there's no guarantee she'll be staying long-term.]

If that is what is best for everyone, that's what I will do.

But Sougo is not the only one whose opinion matters in this. And you don't seem to like the idea. [A little smile, she's not offended in the least given how, as he said, she doesn't know what's happened to him and she can only guess that it's incredibly significant.]

That is very true. [Optimist and idealist she may be, but this is the place that made her fall in love with Tyki Mikk. She has no illusions about how screwed up it can be.]

I would want to live with you and Sougo and Euphie very much. However, part of me thinks it would be best to wait a few days and sort things out. Not living together doesn't change how I feel about any of you, and I will make Sougo understand that if I must.

It is not only my consideration for your situation that makes me think so. I need to sort out some new memories from home. I could do so while moving back in but I'm not certain if I should.
