[His hand twitches. It feels like it would be easy to cross the distance and take what he wants. But he can't. He can't for too many reasons. He just hopes the "can'ts" stack up higher than the wants.

This time he pushes himself back a step.]

Just...be careful. [The next step is the harder, but he takes it. In fact he takes several and they come so quickly that he's barely visible as he disappears. He'll be further away from Brian, but no closer to real control.]
