The name's Kitty Pryde for those who don't know me. I'm the current leader of the Defense Force. It's a group that works on ensuring the public safety whether that's from each other or our robot overlords. [Not to mention putting an end to this whole prison thing. She figures it's no secret from the wardens, but it still feels a little too brazen to be that specific in the public announcement.]

We're accepting new members in combat, investigations, and dispatch. There's an interview process if you're interested. I'll make up answers if you make up questions.

Seems like we've lost some people recently. We may have more joining our ranks soon. Until then, Data, I want you to lead Sector 5. Hopefully, we'll have more for you to lead soon. My team will back you up until then.

I want to talk to members of Sector 0 and 4's teams to see who to appoint as leader or temporary leader. [Spoiler alert: she is not picking you, Sougo.]

If anyone else has anything to report I'm listening.

	[Miranda takes Lee on his walk and makes her way toward the park as quickly as possible. She lives in Sector 2 so it's not as if it was much of a distance for her. She looks around for Kitty, trying not to turn herself around. When she spots her she waves a bit awkwardly, trying to smile and not show how nervous she feels.] Hello, there. 	[Lee wags his many tails and gives a happy vuul in greeting before moving to curl up in the grass. Miranda watches him before surveying the area.] Ah, well...we just um...need to break it. 	I could. But where's there fun in that? [SNIKT! The claws on one hand come popping up. She uses the other hand to toss the toaster up. She slices it in half as it comes back down.] Good for you? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[She jerks back at sight of the claws and there's a bit of a squeak that echoes in the air, but Miranda isn't sure if it was from her or not.]

U-Um, yes that's fine! [She reaches for her satchel and pulls a round black disc-like object from it. She holds it with both hands for a moment and quietly whispers "Invocate." Green spots glow on the disc and swirl around counter to each other. Miranda lets go but doesn't move her hands far away as Time Record floats in the air.]

Time Recovery. [There's a shimmer of energy that most people wouldn't even see, but it ripples and reflects the light at different intervals while it covers the toaster. The glowing spots on the disc move faster and transparent clock that settles above it, the hands of the clock rewinding backwards as the pieces of the clock rejoin. It knits itself back together easily and sits on the ground as if it had never been broken.]

[She looks over to Kitty then back to the toaster before giving a soft sigh and shake of her head.]

You can only obstruct time temporarily in my world. I can turn back time for as long as I use Time Record but once I turn it off...

[Suddenly the glowing stops and the clock hovering over the toaster disappears. The little appliance shortly proceeds to fall apart all over again, still neatly sliced.]

B-But I've been able to keep it active for days before when needed. I can go over a week without sleep.

	[There is a tiny frown on her lips but she nods.] Harder, yes, perhaps that is a good word for it. I get tired faster and it takes more energy the worse someone's injuries are when I take them. I probably couldn't last as long as I'm used to, but I would certainly go as long as I could. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[Miranda understands what she might be saying but is not directly stating.] Basically yes. If the um...toaster is broken beyond repair already, then there is n-nothing I can do. But if it's only damaged it will give us the time to get it to someone who can um...put it back together properly. Time Recovery cannot alter events that have already happened, only rewind them.

Time Out is more...direct? If something is within the barrier then anything that happens to it will be reversed because it technically hasn't really happened. We are outside of time, then.
