Evening 241 } Action } Open Mingle
[ As mentioned by the wardens yesterday, Eric is hosting a costume party. The Blood Shack is lit by candles for the evening (he remembers the last party he had being interrupted by a power outage) and a small buffet of sorts has been erected. It furnishes mostly hors d'oeuvre and finer foods, things that Caroline picked out as Eric hasn't a clue about human food.

There is blood on tap (naturally) as well as a full bar. Eric has made certain to include water, sodas, tea and various non-alcoholic drinks.

The jukebox is playing a variety of music, but patrons are always invited to pick out their own music. The dance floor has a disco ball and there's the ever present 'dancing' pole on stage if someone gets brave. Tables are scattered about as are sofas and chairs so that people have a choice where they sit.

Enjoy yourself, mix, mingle and admire everyone's costume and everyone is required to have a costume in order to be here. ]

Just cause I hate my government and think I'm in the right don't mean that keepin' fugitives isn't against the law.

Course, I saved the girl from some pretty nasty stuff, but th' wardens are all law based with no consideration to governments overstretchin' their power.

They also don't take to kindly to killin' even when it self-defense.

[Mal knew he belonged in prison. The only reason he wasn't back home was due to an ace crew, an ability to lie, and quite a bit of luck.

Everything I've done was to protect our town. You can judge me or not. I don't care.

[Sorry Sheriff. Mal really hates authority figures. He's always on the wrong end of them. And he doesn't necessarily consider his crimes crimes. Of course they're crimes according to the government he lives in, but his government is wrong and needs to be brought down.]

I don't understand our wardens. We protect our own an' get in trouble for it. We're saving lives, saving people from being subject to things they ain't supposed to be subject to, but it ain't the warden's idea of law.

Our prison ain't Alliance run, too nice for that, but the thought process behind it sure is inline with the Alliance.
