Evening 241 } Action } Open Mingle
[ As mentioned by the wardens yesterday, Eric is hosting a costume party. The Blood Shack is lit by candles for the evening (he remembers the last party he had being interrupted by a power outage) and a small buffet of sorts has been erected. It furnishes mostly hors d'oeuvre and finer foods, things that Caroline picked out as Eric hasn't a clue about human food.

There is blood on tap (naturally) as well as a full bar. Eric has made certain to include water, sodas, tea and various non-alcoholic drinks.

The jukebox is playing a variety of music, but patrons are always invited to pick out their own music. The dance floor has a disco ball and there's the ever present 'dancing' pole on stage if someone gets brave. Tables are scattered about as are sofas and chairs so that people have a choice where they sit.

Enjoy yourself, mix, mingle and admire everyone's costume and everyone is required to have a costume in order to be here. ]

[ This is going to take some maneuvering. Haruka presses Michiru even closer with the one hand still occupied by the dance, cheek-to-cheek as her free hand fumbles in her pocket for the rings she'd purchased earlier. She manages to push one onto her own finger by shoving it back into her pocket, while the other....

...she gently slides onto Michiru's finger before taking her hand again. It's nothing extravagant, just a plain gold band with a tiny pearl, but the detail was enough to make the set stand out. ]

I'm sorry. I couldn't stop thinking about it. But we're together for good this time, and...

[ Oh, wait. ]

...you can open your eyes now.

[Michiru keeps dancing with her, staying close to her. As promised, she kept her eyes closed, though she was sorely tempted to peak and see what Haruka was doing. She'd only been her a few hours after all.

She could tell when the ring was slid on her finger, but she was good and didn't look... at least until Haruka told her to open her eyes. She opened her eyes and smiled seeing it]

Oh, Haruka, it's gorgeous! Thank you so much!

[And now for the hug]

[ Haruka chuckles, twirling so even their embrace gets incorporated into the dance. Her own finger now sports an identical ring. ]

Careful. The powers that be might get the wrong idea.

[ Says her mouth, while her eyes say everything from "you're welcome" to "sorry to be so maudlin" to "I'm just so glad we're together". And now that they're pressed this close, she has no intention of changing their position. ]

	How reassuring. [ She'll just stay like this, then, holding Michiru close and leading her through the dance, until the music fades and she's left swaying back and forth with her partner. [ Don't mind her, she's just going to be amusing herself imagining baby Michiru in her Christmas best unwrapping one fancy present after another, yet meticulously folding all the paper and setting it aside. Just because they don't have to reuse paper in this house doesn't mean she should be messy, gosh.

Except it's also much nicer to spend time with grown-up Michiru in reality, so Haruka'll head for the door with her partner in tow. ]

[ Not that she'll get fresh air here, technically speaking....but they do a fairly decent job of faking it from what she's seen thus far. ]

[ Looking up at the night sky loses something when one's really just looking up at the "night".....ocean. Beyond whatever they have projected, of course.

Standing close to Michiru, Haruka breathes deep, enjoying the relative quiet outside as opposed to the party inside. Oh, it's a great party, but she likes these little refreshers with just her partner. ]
