Evening 241 } Action } Open Mingle
[ As mentioned by the wardens yesterday, Eric is hosting a costume party. The Blood Shack is lit by candles for the evening (he remembers the last party he had being interrupted by a power outage) and a small buffet of sorts has been erected. It furnishes mostly hors d'oeuvre and finer foods, things that Caroline picked out as Eric hasn't a clue about human food.

There is blood on tap (naturally) as well as a full bar. Eric has made certain to include water, sodas, tea and various non-alcoholic drinks.

The jukebox is playing a variety of music, but patrons are always invited to pick out their own music. The dance floor has a disco ball and there's the ever present 'dancing' pole on stage if someone gets brave. Tables are scattered about as are sofas and chairs so that people have a choice where they sit.

Enjoy yourself, mix, mingle and admire everyone's costume and everyone is required to have a costume in order to be here. ]

[Miranda almost wishes she had been able to keep the entire wardrobe she'd had in the previous prison. Minako had spent such a long time collecting all of it for her and while she had not worn most of it, she knew she could find anything she needed for this kind of occasion in it. Talking about her to Michiru only a few days ago really made her miss Minako all the more.

So she came to the party dressed in something she hoped Minako would approve of. Fancy hat, high heels boots, and a skirt that was a bit short for Miranda's usual tastes, but she knew Lenalee wore just as short if not shorter. She walks carefully so as to not trip herself, but chooses to remain away from anything she deems fragile until she's more comfortable.]

Maybe I should have found different shoes...

I don't recall giving anyone permission to leave the ship.

[ Haruka's eye had been caught by someone who not only had the same basic idea as her, but who'd managed to actually find a hat with a feather (she wasn't so lucky). And since it's now late enough in the festivities that she's left Michiru to mingle and herself to prowl, well. How can she help but approach? ]

What's up? Someone so lovely shouldn't be standing alone.

[If there was ever a way to immediately send Miranda into a heated fit, it was complimenting her looks. Her face turns red and she opens her mouth to speak but nothing comes out at first. She doesn't know what to say.]

[She's only ever danced like this with one other woman and thinking of Diva really only makes her more nervous, even if Haruka seems absolutely nothing like her. Miranda doesn't pull away when she takes her hand, but she's definitely shy about being out on the dance floor around other people.]

M-Miss! I-I think it's rather strange to dance with someone without even knowing there name. [Stalling!]

[Miranda is a little wobbly on her feet but manages to make it through the twirl without falling over and dragging them both to the ground. Her cheeks are still hot and she's so confused by how this all came to be.]

	Thank you, Miranda. A friend suggested I dress as a queen and this is the first thing that came to mind. I suppose I still have a desire to learn poker even though it seems a task I can never quite complete. [She nibbles at a bit of chocolate she's holding.] Do you know how to play?
