Day 241 // action - sector 4
[ Haruka has an advantage over the other new arrivals - she's had the good fortune to encounter someone she knows from home. Someone she knows very well, in fact. And whom she's apparently abandoned here for the past three months.

Not that Michiru blames her. They've spoken about the asylum, and even started moving Haruka into Michiru's apartment. (Naiad the Eevee doesn't seem to mind.) But Haruka can't shake her uneasiness. If she'd had to sit here, stewing, away from everything she knows....

Well, she'd probably bear it better than she thinks. So this walk was supposed to clear her head.

Yet here she stands outside a jewelry shop in Sector 4, pondering the wares. In her new slacks and jacket, she looks like a man who's been here forever - unless anybody looks down to notice the new-arrival anklet poking out of her cuff. She's also temporarily taken off her communicator - yeah, she knows she needs it, but wow is it gonna take some getting used to.

And wow, random passerby, is this "gentleman" absorbed in his perusal of the shop window. You could probably cut glass with that stare. ]

	[Saetan is, perhaps, one of the few people here who can sense her actual gender and isn't likely to be confused by it, but that's not what catches his eye and makes him pause to lean on his cane and follow her gaze towards the shop window. [ See, if Haruka'd had her communicator in, this first impression would go over badly in a different way. As things stand, she blinks, glances over, and then immediately sticks her headset in. Just because she doesn't like the way it feels...she'd been stupid.

	Yes, its all free. I suppose they don't see the point in having us spend money they would be handing over to begin with. [His eyes catch the rings and he smiles.] Planning on sharing them with anyone? [He's still there when she returns, mostly because he seems a bit lost in thought staring at the rings in the window himself. They took his when he arrived, after all.]

You're very fortunate to have someone you care about here already, if I do say so, my dear. Even if it does mean you're both imprisoned, I imagine it must be comforting to be together and have a familiar face.

	Yeah, she's a lifesaver. [ She can say that with a lot more ease now that the deed's been done. Slipping the small bag containing the ring box into her pocket, she pats it with a satisfied sigh. ] Trinkets and stuff can't make up for months by herself, but it's been a long day. [There are a lot of things very unusual about him, but at the moment he is thinking the same about here. There's some sort of power there, beneath the surface and it intrigues him but aside from a faintly curious look he refrains from commenting on it.]

Sometimes that's enough. We're not all quite so lucky as to have the people we care about here with us.
