[ This time he doesn't pull away. It won't make much of a difference anyway, he can't get his heart to calm down or his breathing to even out no matter what he does. The blaring sirens and distant bang of tentacles against glass leaves him trembling, fingers curling against his scalp until you'd expect there to be blood under his nails. ]

....I can't get it to stop.

I know. But I'm here, okay? You're in the dome with me not anywhere else. We're going to be okay.

[Something comes to mind but he's not so sure if it'll work or not... it's worth a shot? He knows Aidan's heartbeat always helped to soothe him, if he could just close his eyes and focus on it. He shifts slightly, straightening out his back and reaching to try and brush his fingers along aidan's face.]

Babe, do something for me? I want to see if it'll help, okay? Put your head to my chest. Focus on my heart.

[ He hesitates for a moment, not because he thinks it's a bad idea but rather that it takes that long for it to even register. When it does he nods, slowly untangling his hands from his hair in favor for wrapping his arms tightly around Helix. Eyes closed he presses his ear against the other boy's chest, listening to the beating of his heart.

Thud thud. Thud thud.

Little by little he relaxes, breathing evening out until it practically matches the rhythm of Helix's heartbeat. ]

[He lets Aidan make himself comfortable, or at least, to attach to him firmly. He then gently wraps his arms around him, using one hand to cover the other ear so that all he will hear is his heartbeat. He waits patiently, watching and hoping this works. A small smile spreads over his features when the other starts to relax and he buries his face in the top of Aidan's short hair. He closes his eyes and breathes him in a little with a soft sigh.]

That's it. [Soothing and soft, even if he probably can't hear him right now, aside from the noise his own voice makes in his chest.]

[ He can't quite make out the words of the rumble in the others chest, but it doesn't matter. It's still soothing and he easily loses himself in the rhythmic noises of the others body. The thud-thud of his heart, the gentle whooshing of steady breaths and the white noise of his own circulatory system as it gets caught against Helix's hand. Very womb-like, this, and that in itself is enough to seriously take the edge off.

He burrows in a little, eyes still closed. ] ...Thank you.

	[ It's very soothing and although he still can't really hear what Helix is saying, his warm breath through his hair is comfort enough. He nods against him, breathing deep of his scent. ] (Reply to this) (Parent)
