Tentacle Event Kickoff Details
Remember when we gave you a Timeline of Events? Well, it's time to flush one of those sections out!
[ DAY 220 ]
Monday - Wednesday (May 20-22): Business as usual, though you will occasionally see tentacles outside the dome like you did on Day 217.
Thursday (May 23): Veridical will post to tell people to stay calm because the tentacles have started beating against the dome. Initially, you just see it happen with no effects. However, soon enough there is an echoing clamor, duller than hitting a bell, but still powerful and growing. It will make outdoor communication (network and in person) more difficult. Buildings will provide some insulation from the sound. Along the edge of the dome there will be vibrations that may be strong enough to knock people over (whether they are on the ground or in flight). Wait for the warden post to notice it starting, but feel free to react in your own posts.
Saturday (May 25): Mingle post. The noise and vibrations continue, but the more alarming change is the CRACK appearing along the top of the dome. It isn't leaking, but it doesn't look good. Waves of energy start coming off of the outside of the dome toward the attacking creature. This is mostly evidenced by the occasional recoil of a tentacle and the way the power dims or flickers each time it happens.
Alarms are going off internally, though the sound is relatively low. Lights are flashing in such a way to direct people toward the safe zones (see below). Bots are coming along to herd inmates in those directions as well. If you are resistant they are likely to let you go initially in favor of herding more rehabilitated sheep inmates though they may use force like a taser eventually.
At this point the vibrations have also gotten worse and can be lightly felt virtually anywhere. Closer to the edges there are tree limbs down and maybe even a few entire trees. A couple of empty buildings which were reserved for future shops begin to show structural damage. One even collapses. The funny thing is no matter how stressed out, afraid, or proactive your character is, they will find themselves falling asleep before morning even if they aren't near a bed.
Safe Zones: Sector 1: Main Athletic Complex, Sector 2: The Education Center, Sector 3: Pa-Ching Arcade, Sector 4: The Movie Theater, or Sector 5: The Museum. If you're currently in Sector 0 or 6, you should get to one of the other locations quickly and efficiently. These locations will be on lock down. You can get in, but you can't get out.

Monday (May 27): Day post from your new wardens.
WHAT DID THAT SAY!?!
Yes, it's true. You are about to get new wardens and a new prison. (Same comm. Same mods.) You'll still be under a dome, but not under the sea. This is only for 2 IC days, but the characters will only know it's supposed to be temporary. Conditions will not be as favorable as they are in Marina, but we'll fill you in on those details...later.
