I've been trying for a while. And I know all about reaching my team when they're out of service; they don't stay there for long. If there was a reason for it, he'd have reported in before he just went dark.

[That last sentence may be a tad hopeful, but she knows it's false hope. Derek knows all about reporting in, even when he goes off on his long ranger jaunts. In a place like this, with giant fetish monsters pounding on them? He'd be available. Period.]

I'm sorry. [It's not much, but she means it. Maybe if her mind wasn't also on the safety of the prison she'd be a little better at this. Maybe she just doesn't want to tap into the place that would understand what it was like if Reid disappeared.]
