[Day 216] [BASEBALL - mingle]
[PLAY BALL!

Or cheerlead.

Or watch.

Or heckle.

It's an event everyone can enjoy!

There are some traditional snacks on hand. No alcohol sadly, but you can still have soda, hot dogs, and popcorn among other things. The bleachers provide enough seating for those who want to see exactly how vampires, humans, demons, mutants, etc. all play together. Not to mention some of them only recently even learned what baseball was. Never a dull moment at least.

In the end, it's the Flying Knights who win in this fairly evenly matched game, but there was some impressive action for both teams It should be an interesting season.]

(OOC: MINGLE! This is event style! Just put in your header whether your character is in the crowd, the purple dragons, the flying knights, cheerleading, before the game, or after the game or any combination! Please assume there was adequate IC announcement of this event!

Backdated to earlier in the day. Roster. It is not yet updated with recent additions from the last Yuuri post.)

[Crowd and/or After the Game] Anyone~

[Helix only really showed up part way through the game. Anyone could guess he was only there to watch Aidan. Which, oddly enough, this is the first game he's been to. In fact whenever his boyfriend wasn't doing something on the field, or he was just plain bored, he was off the bleacher and wandering around. You might see him munching a hot dog or getting a little into it later through the game as he tries to cheer on his boyfriend.

Beware if you hiss, boo or say something bad when Aidan is on the field you might just get kicked. Someone is almost like a soccer mom and will not hesitate to start a fight.

[ at some point towards the end of the game, seven places herself on the bleachers next to helix. near enough to hear one another's speech without the necessity to shout, but not so close that they are within one another's personal bubbles. ]

Enjoying the game?

[He was so focused by the end of the game he wasn't aware Seven even sat near him. So when she speaks up he almost jumps a little, taking on a brief moment of 'ocrap did you hear me getting into it?' He relaxes though and shrugs, slipping into something nonchalant.]

It's okay. Kinda boring and repetitive. [He's totally too cool and aloof.]

You?

Excessively. [ repetitive, that is. she doesn't mean that as an insult towards the teams, merely an observational agreement that the game repeats itself over and over and over until time has run out and a team has achieved a greater score. ]

Enjoy is not the word I would use, but I am sufficiently entertained. I was curious about the game and those who cheer it on.

Yes. [ a nod of confirmation, though her curiosity is in regards to their purpose within sporting events and the culture of earth's past, not the appeal they usually hold for people. ]

May I ask why you are in attendance?

Huh. [To each their own he thinks, he's definitely not thinking she's there to learn more about the culture.]

Oh, uh, my boyfriend is on the Purple Dragons. [Pointing him out and speaking the number printed on his jersey.]

[ Just like Helix, Reid is mostly there for support. With two family members out in the field, it'd be a shame not to show up but he can't say he's that interested in the game itself and a distraction is definitely welcome. Besides, it's been a while since they last talked. Time to catch up? ]

Is that your boyfriend? [ Nodding towards the field. ]

[Just about any time is a good time to catch up, especially when they share the same reason and disinterest in the game. It leaves plenty of room for chit-chat.

He looks up at the familiar voice and gives a small smile before turning his eyes to the field. He may not care about the game but there's something fond in his eyes. That's his boyfriend out there, giving it his all.
]

Yeah. Number [Insert jersey number here.].

Lemme guess, you're here for Kitty and tall, dark and buff over there.

I wouldn't put it that way, but... yeah, that's why I'm here. [ Bit of an awkward smile. Things are still weird with Morgan and he can't quite shake that. ] Are you a baseball fan?

Well... there is the ring fights, which were illegal so I'm not sure if they count but it was a competition.

I raced some. Built my own Scarper for it and everything.

[If Helix is coming to get a hot dog he might find Laura already at the stand, currently taking advantage of the large variety of condiments by putting a little of almost everything on top of it. From mayonnaise, to ketchup, to relish, to hot sauce. And to test to see if she will like it, she has made sure to have a second. Laura just likes to try flavors.]

[He's got his own and he's wandering over to watch and wait to be able to use the condiments, quirking a brow at how much she's throwing on hers.]

Careful there, might want to leave some hot dog under all those condiments or you won't taste it.

[She does not look at him while she is assessing the condiment ratio on her hotdog, but she does acknowledge his presence.] The hotdog is a bland mixture of processed meats and byproduct that does not add to the flavor.

Most of your sense of taste is controlled by your sense of smell. It does not smell bad, so I will see how it tastes.

[And as soon as she takes a bite she is surprised by how flavorful it is. Not...bad, but very unique.] ...It is not something to eat often.
