Yeah, well, so far, I've only had my heart ripped out and stomped on before the girl ran off with someone else. [Glass empty now he takes another drink straight from the bottle this time, guess who he killed!]

Anyone after that has either been killed, had severe issues with commitment, run off with a vampire or lied to me and stabbed me in the back. I can't win.

[Love is love even if its between a pair of vicious, immortal monsters. Though maybe the separation makes it easier for Spike now that he's trapped for life under an ocean on a different planet. At least, he's sure it would have been more painful to him had he been in the same predicament and with a girl for 100 years then stolen away to a prison.]
