You guys are all busy working on your talent show routines, right? So there's no time to plan for the big prom! Well, you're in good hands if you leave it to Minako and Orihime!


These two crazy girls have decided that it would be totally romantic for a couple to hook up on prom night, and to further that end, they have decided to hook everyone up on prom night. If they see you heading into the prom on your own, they might grab your arm and haul you over to some other solo prom-goer and say, "Okay, now you two are on a date! GO."

Now, there's nothing wrong with going solo and hanging out with your friends instead of bringing a date! Orihime herself has no plans to bring a date unless Minako makes her or someone asks her. It'll be easy to slip in without them noticing if you genuinely want your character to go stag, and you can, of course, get hooked up, have one interaction, and then split up! This is just an idea for people who want to pair up but don't have any IC means of doing so -- or who just want a fun randomized interaction~!

So if you want your character to go on a date, but they don't know anyone well enough, or no one is asking them, or they don't want to go on a date -- here's your chance to get around that!


You don't need to be volunteering for a Minako/Orihime love connection to comment here. You can just comment to coordinate in general! So share what's going on with your kids for the prom -- that way we can plot with one another! If you don't currently have an OOC plan but want Orihime and Minako to fix you up, they will match you up with another character.

No promenade would be complete without the obligatory popularity contest, right? Right! Hopefully you guys aren't so sick of all this event-related stuff yet. OTL

This is a post where you will vote for your characters on who they would pick to be named Prom King or Prom Queen of Marina Academy! Here's how the post is set up, and a visual example is available here to help make sense of it!

1. Make a thread with the nominee's full name as the subject line. This can be made by the character, or someone else who nominated for them. (edit: Nominations are not IC! Meaning that they are put like this only to make counting easier. Only "nominate" a character if you have someone who will vote for them!) Blank tags only, please!*
2. Every character then gets two votes in each category (2 for King, 2 for Queen). Characters can spend both votes on one character if they want! Please put "+1" or "+2" in the subject header for the appropriate nominee. Blank tags again, please!*
3. Comment with one muse at a time -- even if you have 2 or more that would vote for the same nominee, please do not combine tags! This makes it harder to tally in the end, when checking for duplicates.
4. Voting will CLOSE next Monday (09/12) at Midnight CDT (GMT -5). I'll put up a quick reminder in the next Monday Meme. The actual prom post(s) will probably go up next Wednesday afternoon (so go get your dates)!

Additional notes & rules:

1. This is an in character vote, that will be conducted on-site at the Prom's tent in a booth, and is closely monitored for cheating! However...
2. Characters can vote for whoever or whatever they want. The form will actually state "You can vote for anyone, in any category!" Want Saber for Prom King? Pick Acumen! Vote for Mushu! Nominate all the haros!
3. Participation is optional. No one has to enter, or vote, and your character can always refuse the crown before the big announcement is made so that no face is lost! (Jeanne might pout, though.)
4. No spam, please! I have a specific thread (linked here) for questions or concerns so I still get them, but I will frowny-face at tags I have to delete elsewhere because they do not contain a vote.
