A couple of announcements! First of all, a poll: Once we remove the fourth wall journals from the community, they will not be able to respond to comments/posts anymore!



Second of all, items of business:

1.) Fourth wall characters and players are encouraged to join us permanently! If you app in the August/September round, you will be able to keep your memories from the fourth wall event, but characters who are not apped this round will not keep their memories.

2.) The current app will now have an additional field toward the top, so early app-writers, take note: Is this a reapp? Is the character canon-updated or keeping Marina memories? If no, then you just say no and move on; if yes, then you don't have to remember to tack on something to tell us, and we don't have to guess! If you are a fourth-wall apper, let us know if you're keeping fourth-wall memories. (Thanks for the suggestion, Pip!)

3.) We are opening a new page for alternative apps: hip, edgy apps that the mainstream appers can't-- Er, that is, apps that are non-standard. There are currently several kinds of non-standard app: alternate universe, original character, and "temporary" character. For the purposes of Marina, a temporary character is someone you would app for the purpose of enacting a plot rather than playing the character for who they are, with the intention of having them face permanent consequences of that plot shortly thereafter. Only alternative apps from established players (or, in this case, fourth wall players) will be accepted, and the app period will be the same as for standard apps.

Hey everyone! I'm heading on vacation starting tomorrow and while I'm bringing my laptop with me, I won't be tagging new posts (the hiatus part). I'll still try and stay on top of the backtags (the slowatus part) but please let me know if you need a thread from me for AC so I can get those out to you without leaving you hanging and stressed out until the 3rd when I fly back home.

Okay, like many others, I'm sure, I'm living right in the middle of an area that's supposed to be hit hard by Hurricane Irene. My local power company is already telling us to be prepared for outages, so I may disappear and tentatively hiatus until my power/internet is back.

I should be around most of today and tomorrow as well, but after that's kind of a crapshoot. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I'll probably do a couple of status updates via plurk on my phone should it come to that.

Affects Yosuke (Hanamura), Izaya, Mitsuru and Zoro. Sorry for all this fail lately!

I shall be joining all the other lovely people in their hiatusing. The anime convention in state is rolling around soon, so I have a lot of sewing to get done for it. I have also found myself staring blankly at tags for long periods of time and not being able to think of a reply and I think I need a little break to recharge my RP batteries as well.

I'm going to try and do my back tags, but I for sure won't be tagging anything new. If you need a thread for AC, please tell me and I'll make sure to get that done! I'll still be around via AIM and Plurk and email if anyone needs me for something, so feel free to bug me.

Hiatus shall last until September 12th, and applies to both Fuuma Monou soeboshi and Hazama trollzama. Don't party too hard without me!

Apps are opening Sunday!

They will close the Sunday evening after (9/4/2011!) and will be closed until the end of September! So if you're working on apps, and you want to be in this batch, then you should get your apps in next week or for one month hold your peace.

And as a reminder, activity check will be going up on Thursday. Every character in the game must respond unless the mun is on an announced hiatus and not tagging for the whole week of the AC.

Jumping aboard the "There is Hurricane Coming" Hiatus bandwagon. Hopefully I won't have to use it, but I will fight to the end!! *shakes fist Irene*

Well, I can definitely say this is the first time I've deliberately traveled into the path of a hurricane. Hopefully this won't be necessary, but you know the drill. If I go poof this weekend, assume I've lost power.

So because Irene completely missed Florida and I have gotten slightly used to being back in school, I am hopping off the hiatus bandwagon. I am going to try and get back to any and all threads I had left hanging before I left so if there's any particular one you want me to prioritize I will have no problem doing that.
