I'm Melon and typically I play over on LJ. I could no longer resist giving Marina a try though and so here I am with my first character. If things go well, I'm totally bringing more.

This is Kuugen Tenko from Our Home's Fox Deity. What is the series about? Shinto gods, animal spirits, elemental fights... mostly it's about the ins and outs of a family trying to live with both an eternally hungry fox and a socially clueless shrine maiden.
Kuugen here is an oinari, a Japanese spirit thought to take the shape of foxes. Inari are typically androgynous and so is Kuugen. ... Actually the fox is just so dang old that they can't remember what gender they were to begin with anymore. Kuugen flips between three forms -- a fox form, a male form and a female form -- pretty much when the whim hits them. Or when they can flirt and get something, mostly food. :B Most of the time, you folks will see Kuugen in a female form.

Also also known as Kaito Kuroba, but his civilian identity is something he'll be trying to keep on the down low for the time being because playing with secret identities is always super fun *A*

READ ME IF YOU WANT TO PASS THE AC

Please be aware that the January activity check only includes posts that are dated in January.

The activity check is seven days long to allow you to finish old threads and to make sure you have the time to write up your summaries/gather your links. You cannot count threads on posts that went up after the AC, because when the activity check goes up, January has already ended! If you wait until the end of the seven days of AC to post your response, that doesn't mean that threads that posts that were made in February will count to January's activity. You have to have been active in January.

If you have used a thread from the costume ball, for instance, you will fail the January AC. The costume ball happened in February! It will count towards your activity for the month of February. It's great if you've been having fun with that, but it doesn't count for January.

If you have included a post dated to February in your activity check, please go back and update it! If you need more activity on a comment thread in January, comment here asking for help! If you even suspect you might have, go back and check your links to make sure all the posts were dated in February! You still have until tomorrow to get your activity, because your mods had 41 apps to review yesterday and there is no way we are doing ACs tonight.

Once more, for clarity: The date on the post has to be the same month as the AC, in this case January. The dates of the comments in your thread don't matter, so even though it's now February, if you get the thread to eight comments, it will still count!

*ahem* I'd better stop scaring the newcomers, so for those I've missed during my absence, and for the newbies, I'm AC! I'm a workaholic and an all-around chill derp who loves dabbling in the arts (mostly drawing), literature, COOKING and musing about life (the stars in the sky, birds and the bees, that kind of stuff.) I listen to any kind of music (rock, jazz, j/kpop, pop, trance, latin -- you name it!) and I'm also fond of going on tangents. :3;;

I bring you two kids! One is a returnee like myself, Sasha, otherwise known as Athena of Saint Seiya - The Lost Canvas. She's kind to a fault (which annoys ME sometimes >.>;;), has a penchant whipping up stuff in the Shelter kitchen and haunts the Educational Center. So if your muse is hungry -- for food or for knowledge -- expect her to feed it. >|Db

My other kid here's Ken of Weiß Kreuz Gluhen -- formerly an assassin daylighting as a ~florist~, but is now a very willing inmate and forever a skillful soccer player. He's all around nice and can whip up a mean floral arrangement and a game of soccer. He's also a bit of a derp around women but he's one loyal guy to those close to him. ♥

I will have to warn you guys of my slow tags due to my living in Narnia an GMT+8 timezone, though my work schedule follows that of GMT+1 :3;; But I do make it a point to put an end to threads o7 so feel free to smack me around if you need something done!

Hey! I'm Cherrie and I'm dragging Sloth, who'll be restrained, harmless and irritable for the first two IC days in here, into Marina. I also just realised how terrible my luck is when looking back and finding the Ed dropped on the same day I applied :( For those who don't know her, Sloth is from the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime version who turned into a Homunculus after Edward and Alphonse tried to resurrect her - cheerful I know. She's the calm, quiet and apathetic type who will genuinely refrain from bothering people if it'll cause too much uneccessary fuss, though that doesn't mean she'll make an effort to be friendly either. Her HMD and information about abilities, history and personality are on her journal.

You can't get rid of me. I'm playing Buffy Summers from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She's from immediately post S7 Finale.

I just started student teaching (HS English) so I will not be around much in the day times (weekends excepted) but I will be around a good deal in the evening. In that case I'll just ask you to email me. It doesn't mean I don't want to chat or anything like that. I'm Meine (or Dee, depending on who you ask), I'm brand new to Marina, and I'll be playing Ruka Souen from Vampire Knight.

She's a proper lady, elegant and pretty--- but she will kick you in the head and crush your face with her heel if you insult Kaname. Maybe Yuuki too. Sans face-heel crushing. Haven't quite decided yet. Ruka is also a vampire, but worry not! She's a pacifist and thinks drinking from strangers is gross. She doesn't know where you've been. =|

But seriously, I'm real excited to be here. I look forward to playing with you all!
