This is Padawan Ashoka Tano. I'd say being kidnapped to a world I've never visited is a surprise but it's not. The hospitality is a nice change - hot meals, soft beds and water showers. Already it's better than the last time I was captured. Though it's usually not so difficult to find a way off of a planet.

My Master has filled me in on some of the details of this place but if anyone else has anything to add, I'd be glad to hear it. We got a little distracted with other topics.

Like what happens if you don’t show up to a school you never signed up for? Sitting around in lessons all day isn’t something I’ve done in a long while.

How long have you been here?

Almost a month.

That's about thirty days, right? Master told me that the way time was measured here is different from what I'm used to.

Yes, that is correct. How is time measured where you are from?

There are five days in a week, seven weeks in a month, and three hundred and fifty-eight days in a year.

Our months are always thirty-five days.

A more simplistic and straight-forward than how humans from Earth measure time. That would also mean your year is slightly shorter than a year as is measured by Earth's standards.

I'm glad there's not too much of a difference in the length of a year. And there's only the one sun and moon, right?

Less to adjust to in that respect. And yes, only one sun and one moon. My home star system had two suns, though my home planet had no moons.

Two things less to adjust to. Though I've visited a planet that had two suns ones and other planets that had more than one moon or sometimes none at all.

I do miss the two suns. It is certainly interesting to see how some planets have moons while others do not. And the moon of this world is red, which is intriguing. But I far prefer Earth's moon. It was white.

That makes a planet a bit too warm for my tastes. I've never given much thought to the moons of a planet, not unless it was for a strategic move. Coruscant has four moons and Shili has six so I was used to seeing more than one and of varying colors.

I did not mind the warmth. Earth is a bit cold to me, as is this planet. Typically I have no thought towards moons, but color stands out to me. This world and Earth are both quite colorful.

The warmth isn't bad unless you have to trek through a desert in the middle of the day. You'd like Coruscant. Even though it's a giant city there are lots of colorful lights everywhere.

I can then see how you would not like warmth after such an experience. No doubt I would prefer the city, but I enjoy a more, how do you phrase it, sterile environment? Color is not precisely something I would enjoy being around long term. I am more drawn to things that are white or grey in color and no other color is involved.

If all of the bedrooms here are the same all of the color must get to you. Have you redecorated it?

That is very sweet of you to offer. I am taking it slow if only because of my currently very limited amount of money.
