Annie had found her way to what appeared to be a park and sat beneath the tree that seemed to be the most welcoming. With all of the fear and anger that was going around, she was feeling a little anxious and wanted to be outdoors. She didn't know what was going to happen and she was trying very hard to not pay attention too much to the negative voices that swirled around her and her world.
The humming of the tree was comforting and Annie could feel some of her own fear draining from her as she listened to him humming the lullabye. These were the moments that she could find peace and happiness. The singing from the trees and the grass and the wind made her happy and in turn, she tried to make sure she found some way to let them know she appreciated their friendliness.
As the sun sank below the horizon, Annie leaned her head back against the tree and looked up into the leaves that grew from the branches. She couldn't see the stars through the leaves -- like she wanted to -- but she knew that she could move when she was ready and find a better place to see everything that she wanted to. However, right now, she was content to stay where she was. The tree's song had made her feel much better and to move too soon would be rude.
For the most part, she had been saving her smiles for Finnick, but right now, she was smiling up into the leaves of the tree. She didn't think that Finnick would mind if she shared.
